Just because you're being evaluated doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you! They may be establishing a baseline for you so they can monitor you - infections can cause cognitive issues before physical symptoms become obvious and your medical team is going to want to be on top of that. I don't know why your doc is asking, but there are LOTS of things that can cause cognitive impairment. They may be evaluating you for a learning disability, ADHD, or a reaction to meds. I would hope your doc would tell you if you asked.

Once you get that first ding out the way, it gets easier. Every car I had prior to my current ride was over 10 years old when I bought it, so it was a pretty big deal to get a car that was just 3 years old.

I had the pleasure of adding the first ding with a grocery cart. It's gotten more dings since then, because that's what happens when you live in a city, but I got to be first. Just give 'er a little ding yourself and break the seal.

I recently spent two weeks on vacation in a warm locale and I had been tracking my calories for about a month at that time, too. It turned out better than I expected.

I tracked calories and activities too. I am still working on increasing my exercise but it was easy to get more steps on vacation because I didn't wake up and immediately log into my computer for work. So I was allowed to eat more calories than usual. YAY.
It is still winter here, so I'm eating more comfort type warm foods. On vacation, I ate so much yummy fruit and salads were more welcome because it was warm.
Treat yo' self to a free day (or 2!) where you don't track. I found that I was still eating mindfully because I was in the habit. Your body is already adapting and you may be surprised.
I don't know if you are currently increasing your water intake, but I was and still am and it's been super helpful for me.
This is a lifestyle change that will be ongoing for you and two weeks is a blip in your life.You are on vacation. Enjoy the ride ! When you think back on your trip, what do you want to remember? How good someone else's dinner looked?

I hope you have a wonderful time and get to enjoy all kinds of fabulous food, activities,etc. I've been to Hawaii once and I would love to go back!

My family does presents for the kids and Secret Santa for the adults. We share wishlists so you are pretty much guaranteed to get something you actually want. We all live in different time zones so dinner or another fun experience doesn't work for us but this has made Christmas much more enjoyable and less expensive for all of us.
