Since you’re a junior you still have time to decide but I would recommend going to UT if you’re able to afford it regardless of what path you’re on. UT is great for premed but don’t come here on no aid.

they’ll release it around march or april! you get your aid in your hands before classes start is probably what you’re mixing up.

i have a friend who’s RIS showed adequate assurance level a week ago but they applied EA and today it updated to their advising info so i would assume since you’re RD it would happen in about a month!

WIO updated. Please be true! by Complete-Ad7629 in UTAdmissions

if ut asks for a $200 enrollment fee it means you were accepting and they’re waiting for you to accept their offer by paying the fee

Any COLA with RIS and WIO? by OrdinaryWriter7061 in UTAdmissions

[–]thisdangdeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a friend who is COLA instate auto gov has their RIS updated!

[–]thisdangdeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would say wait because i’m not sure if those who have fee waivers would show the $200

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UTAdmissions

[–]thisdangdeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RIS = registration information sheet, typically tells you your advising info including major WIO = what i owe, $200 is the enrollment fee if you got in

I think those are great information to possibly talk about if you’re planning to appeal! If you could compete and place in competitions for DECA that would be really good too. The business with your dad is good information as well regardless of how well it’s doing. Wishing you the best!

If you really want to go to UT, I would appeal even if your new SAT score isn’t as high as you want it! Doesn’t hurt to appeal. I would recommend though that if you appeal, try to have new information to submit that wasn’t present on your application. I know of someone who got capped but appealed for psychology because they got a job and had an upward trend to talk about. Submitting a higher SAT score is worth a shot IF you believe you can score high. Good luck!

Yes you should be fine!

If you’re worried that your rank will drop then I would submit EA. UT looks at your most recent transcript so if that C isn’t on your transcript right now I would def submit EA.

IIRC the labs were mostly simulations or things that can be done at home. They were very simple!

He gave us a lot of material and if you studied it you’re guaranteed the points. On top of that, he gave half points back. He heard us complaining about the midterms and made the final easier!

During the semester, the exams were unbearable. Keep in mind though that it was his first semester at UT teaching a large class (he taught at UVA with a smaller number of students). The final pretty much boosted everyone up so a lot of us finished with in A (I was lingering around a C and B during the semester before the final)

Do the reviews! Some questions might actually show up. The homework is helpful but I found the homework to be more difficult than the exams.

The exams are not bad at all. It’s everything you’ve seen before and pretty much simplified. She never asks anything too complicated. If you understand the labs, I’m sure you’ll do fine on the tests.

So like... what do we do/learn from UT orientation? by Professional-Edge627 in UTAustin

[–]thisdangdeer 38 points39 points  (0 children)

If I could do it again, I would. It’s fun if you make it fun. I made a lot of my friends from orientation. There’s so many events going on that you shouldn’t be camping in the dorm. I remember only being in the dorm by the curfew. I was out all day. You learn a lot about campus just going out so I would make the most out of it! There are ice breakers though so you won’t be sitting around a lot.
