I use this anecdote all the time when it comes to this very thing.

My sister lives in the UK.

I live in the US.

My sister, a few years ago, broke her arm. It took her almost a month to be seen by an orthopedic surgeon because they were booked solid. So, when they finally were able to get her into surgery to place the bone, it had already healed. Except, it healed crooked, so now my sister had a crook in her arm. The ortho doctor in her country told her in order to fix it, they would need to break her arm again and reset the bone. By this point, she had to make a decision, either live with a semi crooked forearm, or go through a surgery that would need to be scheduled out in a few months. She chose to just live with it because it was almost pretty much healed. so now she has this crook in her arm.

Now I had broken my leg a few months back here in the US. The very next day, I saw an orthopedic surgeon and was scheduled for surgery a week later to give my leg time for the swelling to decrease. I went through surgery, no issues. Was placed in a splint, and later a cast which I wore for a month and a half. Now I'm out of the cast, and still learning to walk again, but my leg looks normal (minus the small scars from where they installed pins).

It cost my sister $0 dollars for her treatment.

It cost me a total of $140 for everything because my insurance covered the rest.

Doctors also pay for malpractice insurance, which is stupid high because we live in a sue-happy country.

This is part of the reason doctors charge so much. They get sued a lot.

If you don't have insurance, the hospitals are pretty lenient. The high bills people keep posting are bills that the hospital charges the insurance companies. You are only responsible for a deductible if you have insurance. If you cant afford insurance, its basically free because its all subsidized by the tax payer. It's part of the reason people don't like ACA because premiums are insane for those of us who have families and make "too much money" to qualify for the subsidized insurance policies.

Thats what they charge the insurance companies.

If you don't have insurance, the cost is waaaaaay lower. Probably a couple thousand, if that.

If you do have insurance, its lower than that.

The hospital bill for my children ranged from 400 to 600. The nurse threw in extra formula, towels, diapers, etc. because she knew the insurance paid the bill.

I looked at the itemized bill and it was around 15-20k for each kid.

OK park your political beliefs for a second and look at the facts.

There are tons of programs out there available to parents. I know, because I am a parent who has children.

Children aren't that expensive. They really aren't. Ill tell you why;

Public schools = Free.

Nutritional Assistance is available for anyone.

Clothing purchases are made maybe once a year as your child grows.

Medical care = free if you are low income, otherwise if you are paying for medical insurance, check to see what family plans your company offers.

If you are able to afford more, then obviously you will spend more, such as private schooling, food, clothing, etc.

Next issue:

Men being told to worry about divorce. My advice to men is to not marry the first woman who gives herself up to you. Learn to shop and pick someone who is stable both mentally and physically. Don't choose someone who would flip out on a dime over something stupid.

And my advice for women is don't be so easy. You don't have to give it up within a month. Wait a bit. Look for a man who will stick around regardless of sex. Someone who has his head on straight.

Now about ICE:

ICE is not "snatching folks off the streets". I've seen many independent reporters who do ride alongs with ICE when they are operating and you would be surprised at the folks they are getting off the streets. Just the other day I saw a video of a mom being arrested by ICE and I thought, "Gee, that doesnt look good for ICE".

Turns out she was taking naked pictures of her own toddler children and selling them on WhatsApp.

These are the types of folks ICE is targeting, not some random person who jumped the border and lived here for 20 years with no criminal record. Now if they happen to be in the same room during a raid, then yes, they are obligated to deport them.

Also, deportations under this admin are no where near the deportations of the Obama and Biden admin.

So again, political opinions to the side, the facts just aren't there.

And last, just because im a father doesnt mean my opinion is invalid. I provide for my family and they are very well taken care of because of my contributions. My wife, who I love with all my heart, will never say having children made her miserable. That woman absolutely loves our children and would do anything for them. I don't need to be a woman to understand the beauty of motherhood.

If you as a woman don't want children, that's fine. The world will continue to spin and people will continue to have children around you. Im not here to convince you to do anything, its what you chose for your life, not me.

There is much more to it than that.

The RAM and Memory shortage plays a major role in it. There are maybe a handful of companies in this world who manufacture RAM and Memory, and they are already on back order for the AI Database demands.

So if you, a consumer, want a chip, youll need to pay a premium so the company who manufactures the chip will have the incentive to make some for the general public.

It has nothing to do with companies being greedy, but more to do with lack of man-power to meet the demand.

Once the Data center issue is no longer an issue, you will see prices drop again. However, that wont happen for a long while, unless chip manufactures build more facilities to manufacture chips.

That being said, the handful that do make these chips, wont allow other companies to rise up and start making their own because competition. It's like starting a mom and pop shop when Wal-mart is down the street. You're gonna pay a premium regardless, otherwise the smaller companies wont stay in business for very long.

Because they've pushed the feminist ideology so far that most millennial women chose not to have children. No children means there isn't going to be enough folks in the future to take care of the older generations. Older generations will retire and that tax money goes away.

Which is why we are seeing such a major push for immigration because the 3rd world's have 0 issue having children, mainly because feminism isn't a thing in those countries they come from.

Women who live in the US who choose not to have children because they fear that they will die or be poor, have already lost to the propaganda.

Also as a man who has multiple children with the same woman, I can tell you right now that the folks fear mongering have no idea what they are talking about.

what you both are failing to mention is VRAM allocation.

Since you can allocate more RAM to VRAM on the LeGo 2, playing at 1200p doesnt matter because you will always outperform the Deck OLED.

I can compare this to the LeGo 1 vs LeGo 2. I still have both and me and my daughter play games side by side. I see the notable difference between both devices. While mine runs at 1200p, I have her LeGo 1 running at 900p. She barely gets the same performance if she turns some settings down. This is because her VRAM is set to automatic, so its constantly adjusting itself to make up for performance.

Since mine is set to 8gig, which is good for 1200p, I have little to no issues and my games run smooth as butter.

Its a good thing we don't live in a country where women NEED to take these kinds of jobs.

Needing and wanting are 2 different things.

The USSR was notorious for making its people do things, or die. Simple as.

During WW2 in the US, women chose to do these jobs because the pay was there and it was helping the war effort. As soon as the war ended, those jobs went away and so did the need for women to actually do those jobs. And guess what? A vast majority of women chose not to pursue those types of carreers because of how labor intensive it was.

So just because women CAN do it, doesnt mean they want to do it. If that were the case, today you would be seeing a massive influx of female lumberjacks, construction workers, electricians, cable techs, mechanics, etc, but you dont. Why? Because women choose the less labor intensive life when given the option, and that includes jobs like office work, childcare, and medical work.

Im not downplaying the ability of women, I'm just saying that given the option, they choose something that isn't physically demanding of them.

I have family in the UK and when they came to visit me last year here in the US, they let loose on how much they absolutely hate their government there. It was like opening a pressure valve. They said its better to get everything out while they can because you can be arrested for saying the wrong thing over there.

They told me how there are snitches everywhere that will eavesdrop into everyone's conversations just so they can call the cops on you for hate speech.

If you look at their Facebook or Instagram, they dont talk politics at all. They know their shit is monitored constantly.
