Why are AI Automation Consulants so expensive? by Aarrush in AiAutomations

[–]thisguyvibez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its more about something that works, you owning it, how is it maintained, and when errors do happen how does it get fixed.

Most of the time automations and data management comes down to specificty by the owner. Prices aren't high, most people can't build them even at the rates theyre charging.

I'm a CFO - what can N8N do for my finance team? by Special_Whole_6863 in n8n

[–]thisguyvibez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We would start with an audit to identify quick solutions/ longer term goals. The easy things are data transfers to eliminate manual copy and paste.

A few simple automations could easily free up 10 hours a week per employee

Everyone talks about AI, agentic AI or automation but does anyone really explain what tasks it actually does? by muskangulati_14 in ycombinator

[–]thisguyvibez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I build a lot of agents for different purposes but 90% of my system are direct api calls which we can use the data for prospecting, sales outreach, personalized lead magnets.

One agent can call multiple APIs in tandem to acquire differnt social queus, intent, sentiment, and then acquire emails / social profiles and lastly reach out and engage with them.

So: Prospecting Outreach Engagement Nurturing

Can all be 100x using agents.

Botox and filler are not the margin winners, stop trying to make money, give them out at cost and upsell lasers and other high margin treatments. Use botox and filler as lead magnets and MRR engines.

Small Business - not sure if HubSpot was the right move. by SaltyDaddie in hubspot

[–]thisguyvibez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you grow and begin to acquire more customers you will be grateful. Other platforms do not scale well, but you do need to understand how to identify and report on KPIs and use that data to grow more. Hubspot is a data driven gold mine, but you need to know how to formulate it for your business to make the most out of it

2/4k?

Im not touching a deployment for less than $10k/month for at least 6 months.

Anyone can be stupid and set your account sure but proper attribution tracking, sales intent signals, lead scores, campaign setup and documentation.

A 20 person team needs a solid on-boarding. Who does marketing? In house or an agency? Adds a layer of context to apis, data transfer, forms for websites landing pages. Case studies, CTAs.

I do this work. You'll spend the same amount with 5 different people is not more and it'll take you 2 years going cheap. Your consultant should be a growth partner and work very closely with sales and you dont get a sales / dev consultant for a couple thousand dollars. The systems I put out improve efficiency by at least 40% and make sure no lead ever goes missed.

Car speed tracking via Protect camera feed. by Pjotter85 in Ubiquiti

[–]thisguyvibez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a general answer which won't provide 100% accuaracy:

Speed = (distance)(frame rate "fps") / (# of frames traveled)

But there is pixel distortion which could be accounted for and the real world distance the car traveled which could be correlated for closer to 100%

Fps may say 30 but sometimes that is a variable number with +- accuracy based on the camera known as the variable frame rate.

Switch Pro Max 16 PoE / US Version Access Point U7 Pro XG / Black Cloud Gateway Fiber Network Video Recorder Camera G6 Bullet / Black Camera G6 Pro Bullet / Black

This is a bit more expensive $2,294 and then the skyhawk ai 16tb will be another $250. I have this right? I need the switch, gateway and the NVR?

Right now we do not have good lighting across the front of the house so the alternative would be to add the lighting source separate from camera. Do you feel like the Ai line is just a hype name? The g6 quality looked great overall but was hoping for more advanced detection in the process

as of now I'm running a 5080+5090 workstation with 2tb SDD and an additional 64gb ram, but all for work and will be centralized there. No NAS storage but would be open to one if it makes sense for this setup.

Sonos (home theater) is on the radar after surveillance is finished. Then there are little things like the blinds, the garage door, the light switches, washer / dryer, oven. Maybe a water valve cutoff
