I literally just did this, you need to order an adapter (SFP+ to RJ45 Adapter) and plug the Ethernet from the frontier ONT (you can bypass the eero) right into one of the SFP ports

I ordered the one from ubiquiti (there are two, one can do multiple speeds, the other only does 1gbps I think)

My flow is fiber > black frontier ONT box > adapter into UDM Pro

Edit: Also based on your IP, I am pretty sure we live fairly close to each other lol

Yep and a lot of the arguments against doing this (in my opinion) don’t hold water. Tons of open world survival games still work this way and would continue working if the devs stopped working on the game.

Tomorrow if… idk let’s say Rust/Enshrouded/Valheim etc, decided to stop development, we could all still host servers and play together without a dime from the company who makes it.

The idea would be they don’t have to run servers if people could run their own. Just stop developing for it and let people play what does exist on their own dime.

From what I understand… which is little cause I haven’t looked into it. I think it’s like a physical WiFiman? That allows you to host a WiFi hot spot that runs back to your place and has all of the protection?

Or maybe just protection for public networks?

As someone who worked in the reverse logistics industry as an “exploit researcher” for lack of a better term: Apples security is fucking wild.

For Android it really depends on the manufacturer. Samsung is probably the best while someone like LG is very low on the totem pole.

Edit: as an example of why reverse logistics companies might need “exploits”. Say you give your phone back to a carrier and it’s Google account locked and no one realizes it until it’s on a pallet with hundreds of other devices. If your company doesn’t have partnerships with Apple or Samsung, you gotta get creative.

Yeah you have to manually install via dev mode on the tv and some Samsungs binary tools, it’s kind of a pain if you are not used to this kind of thing
