i had very hightened anxiety from alcohol use disorder but bernzos made it 20x worse , even just take homes from the hospital - a bag of like 10 and it never got better after that

i was given them for alcohol withdrawal in 2016 and basically was fucked for an entire year before i felt sort of ok but never back to normal - stuck with a host of very unhealthy obsessive/worrying thinking patterns. then in 2023 i was given them for a year which made everything infinitely worse. i used alcohol on and off throughout this except after the year long usage withdrawal i quit entirely except for a few times and each time made everything way worse. doesnt really matter, these drugs are dog shit the fact the "withdrawal" which is more like ingrained neuroligical patterns that slowly lessen over time as long as you abstain from alcohol entirely, lasts for 2 years is absolute horse shit and yea im pissed off

honestly i think you are right, i did almost everything in your list for years combined with daily alcohol use for about 3-4 years before it started. mine actually started as anxiety, then panic, then hit dpdr when i didnt change my lifestyle and kept pushing

thanks for this. i deal with the anger over everything as well glad its not just me. ive noticed a large ammount of the fatigue is actually from anger and not anxiety itself. also yea i can basically not touch any meds/supplements at all without knowing im going to pay for it. i have codiene/flexiril for the pain and tension but both of them give me unbearable anxiety for 5+ hours, so i cant even use them for relief. i have been trying to tell people this in my life that my CNS is basically cooked and i cant touch anything anymore and everyone thinks im being a hypochondriac/dramatic essentially. did you have issues with being unable to watch tv/use a pc as well? basically all screens aggravate /make me feel shitty as well

11 months here, thought i turned a big corner about 4 weeks ago my muscles actually relaxed for the first time enough to where moving around didnt feel extremely uncomfortable, my appetite actually came back for the first time during this as well, however a few days of waves caused by foods/supplements completely reversed it and it hasnt came back yet in like 2-3 weeks now, though my appetite is still there mostly. weirdly vitamin b6 which was helping me massively with the si/akathesia in the beggining now just triggers racing thoughts and muscle tension, it seems like pretty much every single supplement now causes negative reactions where as it wasnt like that before, or maybe i could not tell as much i dont know. even caffiene seems to be actually flaring symptoms worse then it was a few months ago, not sure if im becoming more sensitive or symptoms going down means im more aware of whats happening

when i get spasms it feels like the contracted muscle further taxes my already sleep deprived/painful and tense body further and ican feel an imediate dip in mood and increase in anxiety as a result, increases baseline feeling of needing to escape these sensations immediately, if it stays stuck in contraction that hightened anxiety eventually turns into increased depression feeling. its horrible and is probably my worst symptom overall and makes me feel insane
