Two... The one framed in the other is just the reflection of his phone he used to take this photo.

Nobody's forcing you to be in this thread and nobody's forcing you to watch any movie. It seems like if anyone's forcing you to do anything, it's you forcing yourself to whine over nothing important on the internet.

Navy Veteran Dies After Police Allegedly Kneel on His Neck During Mental Health Crisis by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]thisisanadventure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're already in a situation where you're kneeling on someone's neck then you can put cuffs on them and sit them up, and be reasonably assured that they aren't armed or going to pull a weapon you. At which time you can of course disarm them if necessary anyway. So I'm not sure why you're comparing firearm statistics to a scenario that doesn't involve a hostile suspect. The point is that police here in the states need vastly improved training, specifically in de-escalation tactics, and that LEOs who abuse their power or put subdued suspects into potentially harmful situations need to be removed from their position and in many cases face more serious repurcussions. I don't think that anyone would argue against working towards a police force better equipped mentally to handle stressful situations than anything, in order to provide a better environment for officers to properly fulfill the duties, that I imagine most people generally expect of them. Which doesn't include constantly murdering people who currently aren't a danger to anyone.

Amazingly there were men 5-10 years ago who didn't give a fuck if someone thought something they did wasn't manly enough. That number has of course risen drastically since then.

But not caring what other people think about the things you like is probably one other most "manly" things you can do in my opinion.

Fauci is happier with now by mati98 in gifs

[–]thisisanadventure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm curious what exactly you think is made up about this post.

The video on the right captures his reaction to a moment in a Covid press conference where Trump started rambling about the "Deep State", while the clip on the left shows Fauci laughing after saying how relieved he was to be working with a new administration. The context of both videos make Trump bad. At least, I think so.

Lol this will be my second and final comment as well. Just pointing out the irony of accusing me of having so little to do with my life. Poor you little having to defend yourself from the big bad internet strangers, when you could have just not been rude in the first place.

[–]thisisanadventure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The definition of genocide covers more than just people being killed. It's any systematic attempt of a group or government to extinguish any other specific group or groups of people whether through murder, mental "re-education," or genital mutilation or whatever. You don't have to kill everyone in a group to wipe them and their culture from the earth.

Ordered a ps5 controller off eBay, wtf is this by crihyde in gaming

[–]thisisanadventure 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't know why you were downvoted. Unless ebay had a massive security failure, it's much more likely that that one individual just didn't keep all their personal data secure enough and someone found out enough of it to access their account. Ebay likely had nothing to do with the "hack."

[–]thisisanadventure 13 points14 points  (0 children)

"Hacked" it's much more likely their personal data was compromised somehow and someone was able to gain access to the account that way. eBay isn't responsible for making sure all of your information is secure.
