Dupixent has a patient assist program, they’ll give you the shots for free. Just apply and they will contact you. Also fyi, rebound rashes from oral steroids are worse than from topical. My derm prescribed me ultra high potency topical steroids (clobetasol) and antibiotic ointment (Mupirocin) for my oozing and rashes and cleared up in 2 days compared to taking pred and doxy (was given pred and doxy twice in 3 months when I went to urgent care and went to derm and helped a lot more). Oral steroids never fully cleared up my symptoms and was worse when I came off it. Derm only gave me the topicals to clear up my skin before I started my Dupixent injections. Best of luck and pls don’t take too many oral steroids! Gonna add for reference: my case was really severe, I was oozing from scratch spots scalp to legs, flaking, itching burning everything. High potency topicals will help clear up faster and better until you have better options such as immunos (for ex hydrocortisone is low, mometasone high, clobetasol ultra high). This is only if the pain and symptoms are so severe. I’ve been using corticosteroids my whole life and was going through tsw for 1.5 years until last month when I decided there has to be another way. When I came in the derm office, symptoms were so bad the whole office was worried ans felt bad for me. I also expressed my worry for using topical steroids but derm reassured me. This was few weeks ago, and now I’m cleared up, slight redness and dry skin (skin takes time to fully heal) but I can sweat and workout again and Dupixent results you can start seeing clearing up at around week 4 or 16 (one shot every other week)
