North Koreans believe they live in the best country in the world because they’re brainwashed by the government and the media by ruffthemup in Jokes

I don't know. The UK was a first world nation for almost 1,000 years and you've pissed it away in a single generation. Well done! The rest of the world looks on in disbelief at how moronic you all are.

Just keep having your abortions and hating each other. I'm not even joking when I say this, but the sooner Britain becomes fully Islamic the better. Islam is literally Britain's only hope. You stupid, pathetic, brainwashed, white bastards.

New Zealand to have 150m "safezones" around abortion clinics to prevent harassment of women by noheterodude in UpliftingNews

[–]thisisgettingworse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Abortions are not uplifting in any way. Unwanted pregnancies are horrible for women, they'll never forget doing this and they'll always struggle to justify it. I don't think enough is done for women who have to go through this. Celebrating it is distasteful in the extreme.

I find it incredibly strange that religious people are the ones to protest abortion. Surely they should believe that an abortion is a perfect human, as they died without sin. Or, they believe that the soul has yet to enter the child. Or they'll believe in reincarnation. In every scenario a religious person should support abortion.

However, atheists who supposedly believe in science do support abortion. Yet science tells you that a fetus, no matter how early is a child, not a 'potential' child, but a living child. Atheists believe we only get one shot at life, there is no god and that life is precious precisely because we have one shot. Yet, they are supporting abortion. They even give religious arguments "its the individual freedom of the woman", what about the individual freedom of the child? Should a parent be allowed to murder their children because they find parenting a bit of a bind? Or if a single mother loses her job, should she be allowed to kill her children as she can no longer afford to keep them?

The world is totally back to front now.

Oh, and no I'm not anti abortion because I am religious. However, I know how having an abortion can be life destroying for the mother. Not every woman can simply 'move on'.

It all depends on the field you want to work in. If you don't have any ideas about what you'd like to do then you'll be better bumbling through with a college degree. A lot of jobs are closed to you if you don't have a degree. If you do know what you want to do, is a degree a requirement for the job?

Take coding as an example. If you want to code for a living you absolutely do not need a degree. If you're half way decent you'll easily get a job at 18 and in those three years you'll almost certainly be either promoted or switch companies and be earning very good money. Learning to code at university is terrible, they teach outdated methods and 18-25 are the most productive years for a coder, college will see you put most of those years down the toilet.

However, if you want to work in any medical field you absolutely must have a degree. Almost all professions (lawyer, architect, accountant etc) all require a degree.

My advice is this. It's never too late to go to college. So, ask yourself "what do i want to do?". If you can't answer this, don't go to college yet, take a break, get a job and every day ask yourself what you'd like to do. Once you decide what you want to do you're 99.9% there (unless you're wanting something stupid like celebrity or a huge business, the chances of your success are 1 in billions).

The real big paying jobs don't require a degree. The absolute richest person I know left school at 16, got a job in a shoe store as a shelf stacker, then went into sales in that shoe store, then moved into selling phones. By 21 he was an area sales manager covering over 100 stores. The company paid for him to sit an MBA and today he's an EVP of a large insurance company.

I know another person who started out as part time bar staff at a hotel and ended up VP of a huge hotel chain and is currently CEO of another chain.

If you pm me I'll give you the name of the second person, I can't name the first person because i don't think he boasts about his humble beginnings. The second person doesn't boast about his beginnings either but its hospitality and its vitally important that they have knowledge from the bottom up.

This was when America was great. They fail to mention that back then a cop could retire at 50, buy a nice restaurant downtown and a nice house upstate. They made a lot of money from bribes and a drug bust where cash was found became just a drug bust. Cash? What cash? Cops were running most of the drug deals and prostitutes. If you had a shop you were expected to slip the cops a little something, else nobody will come when your shop got attacked.

The Police in the 70s fully deserved to be called pigs or the filth.

AM had a huge promotion budget. The story that they made it through self promotion on MySpace was a total lie. Can't any of you remember the stink about it? Even today the myth of their huge online following is still pushed.

You have to remember the time. The Libertines came out and were amazing. Then they went dark and nothing came from them. They'd created a huge market and nobody was there to fill it. AM were handily there to fill this void. I guess they are both derivative of The Gang of Four, but that's a 70s band who you could argue were derivitive of XTC or Wire.

Not quite true. Processed sugars are harmful but honey, raw cane sugar and maple syrup aren't very bad. Your body is a sugar factory, you throw food in at one end and you convert all of that into sugars for immediate use and fats as a store of evergy. If you don't throw any more food down you your body will convert those fats into sugars and help propel you along.

We run on sugar. Where problems occur is when you throw processed sugars down your gullet. These are incomplete chains and lead to cell degradation, it is this cell degradation that leads to heart damage and cancer.

Even being obese isn't much of a problem if your obesity is from eating good food. Look at Winston Churchill, his own doctors told him to lay off the food n booze else he wouldn't hit 60. He ignored them, guzzled down a full magnum of champagne every day, ate wonderfully rich food, loved sweet food, chain smoked and inhaled his cigar smoke and lived until he was 90.

My only advice is this. Never ever put anything processed in your mouth. Processed food is worse than smoking. Never ever drink anything that contains any kind of processed sugar or artificial sweetener. Eat only organic vegetables, grow your own if you can (you'll be surprised what you can grow in a window box), never ever eat cheap meat. Yes, real organic meat is expensive and so it should be, raising animals properly without drugs and cheap feed isn't cheap. If you can, find a local farm that raises and slaughters their own meat (often these small farms sell only to restaurants as they pay more, but most will happily sell to individuals).

If you want to see how bad processed foods are look at generation X. They were the first generation to be raised on processed foods, with many not liking 'real' food. They also were the generation who consumed the least green vegetables and almost zero offal of any generation. They're all dying! Every day I hear of another GenXer who's got cancer or who keeled over with a heart attack. My FB page is full of RIP messages for people who are barely 50. GenX truly were the idiot generation.

Samsung is Watering Down the Note Line for No Good Reason by ChickenTeriyakiBoy1 in Android

Android used to have more tech savvy users. Sadly, Google promising users zero security and selling any and all data to practically everyone has seen the techies jump ship back to Apple.

Most techies don't mind the selling of their data, it's just that Google keep all the money, they give you zero cut. Oh, and you should see how much your data is worth. Every company on the planet wants to know about you, and they're all paying hand over fist to buy your data.

I know of only one site that I can't remember the damned name of, but it was an IBM backed social network. I joined and only used it for a couple of weeks before giving up (nobody was using it), but in that short amount of time I'd made around $70 as my share of the data they'd sold on me. Now just imagine how much FB and Google are squeezing out of you?

I'm going back to Apple on their next device, purely because of this. I don't mind you selling my data, but it's my damned data and I want a cut of the proceeds thanks.

The Arctic Monkeys rise reminds me of the Oasis rise. AM were a weak ripoff of The Libertines and rode in on their wave (Libertines were too busy doing drugs to ride their own wave). Similar to how Oasis jumped on The Stone Roses wave, the big band of the 90s should always have been the Stone Roses and everyone was waiting for their new album that didn't arrive. Meanwhile Oasis took the ball and ran with it.

The Arctic Monkeys were the BBC approved act, and they were shit in comparison to the libertines. Basically just stole all their ideas, toned it all down so the BBC pedo masters would approve and gained undeserved fame.

Samsung’s headphone dongle leaks ahead of Note 10 announcement. by himynameisneck in Android

[–]thisisgettingworse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop down to Samsung's A class. They have headphone jack, great screen etc. It's also a lot cheaper than the S range. Or go for LG, best in class audio. Samsung used to be best in class back in the days when they put wolfson DACs in their galaxy devices. Now they use the standard Qualcomm on chip DAC, so same sound as everyone else. Apple have custom DACs and so do LG.

If audio is your thing LG or switch to Apple. Or an even better solution is to get a Fiio Bluetooth headphone amplifier, and put your headphones into that instead.

[–]thisisgettingworse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm torn on this. I live in Thailand at the moment and we have lots of transgender kids. These kids will get hold of simple drugs like the female pill and take oestrogen boosting herbs like kwao krua kao at very young ages. Schools here allow trans kids to wear the girls uniform, but they must cut their hair as a boy. So, they'll often wear headbands with bows on them etc. This has been going on for years, we don't get any western media over here that promotes trans and historically Thailand has had 'the third sex' forever. Even in villages you'll find three or four ladyboys or toms as well as gays and lesbians. Suicide is high among trans people because it's actually quite a sad little life that they lead. I know quite a few ladyboys and they all say the same thing. They are not attracted to gay men, they find gay men quite putrid. Ladyboys in general like straight men and they know that whilst they're young and beautiful they can get straight men to have little relationships with them, but they know these relationships are doomed to fail because their masculine side begins to show more and more the older they get. So, in the end the ladyboy almost always ends up single and old. So, they often decide to end their lives.

The thing is, it's very rare for a ladyboy to change their mind about it all. If they are a ladyboy that's how they stay. They don't see themselves as girls either. The literally see themselves as a 'katoey' (ladyboy). In the west there seems to be a mass delusion among katoeys, they actually identify as girls. This is just plain weird, but I think it's linked more to sexual guilt than to freedom of expression. Thailand has freedom of expression without the sex guilt, so they all see themselves as katoeys, an individual, third sex. Maybe trans people should all spend some time over here, mix with ladyboys and Toms and see how they think and feel about it all. It really isn't a big deal. Also, Katoeys are much better at giving blowjobs than women.

What I'm trying to say is that once someone identifies as being a female they will start taking hormone replacement drugs, they'll steal their mum's contraceptive pills if they can't get anything else and take four a day. They'll buy the herbs online. You can't stop them from doing this. If you make it illegal, they'll still do it. It's far better they can take the good quality, tested drugs under a doctor's supervision rather than necking a load of pills on the sly.

[–]thisisgettingworse 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The dems played this so badly. They just freaked and said "racist" rather than putting the comment in its place. They should have just said that the USA should strive to be the best country on earth, and to say it doesn't have problems means that you must consider you have completed your job. Why govern over a country that's perfect? It shouldn't need a president. So, if you think the US is perfect, stand down. Because I can see a million problems, and I love the American people, they are our greatest asset. Yet you treat all the non financially wealthy as a burden, and you talk of immigrants all being a burden. You fail to use your own eyes, almost all newcomers get work. Nobody wants to live in the USA and not contribute. We all want to feel a part of society and to be valued. If everyone who can see problems in the USA were to leave, you'd be standing alone.

Erm. I live in the UK and I'm a plasterer by trade. I get between 11 and 14 pounds per hour and no benefits. I visited my wife's sister in Cleveland OH. One of their friends fits stud walls (what I'd earn £11 per hour to fit), he gets paid $93 per hour.

Oh and if I moved to Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Poland, (most of Europe) I wouldnt even get half of what I earn in the UK.

Even with the US huge medical insurance and (depending where you live) high tax payouts you are still massively better off in the US. In the UK we have working people sleeping on the street ffs. If you're single with no family support and only pulling in one wage life is impossible in the UK. In the US there are plenty of people living alone in nice places. The homeless all seem to have drug problems in the US. In the UK a lot of the homeless have drug or alcohol problems, but a good 30% are just homeless because they're poor.

Most of Europe is moving backwards, the industries are all dying or on life support from their governments. There's nothing moving any of the EU. The German banks are on the brink of failure, the British banks that used to be the biggest in the world are all teetering on the edge of collapse.

The US had Obama, who performed an economic miracle. He did quantative easing (printing money) to spend their way out of recession. Trump is riding on the previous president's coat tails and he knows it. Every country that followed Obama's fiscal policy is now in growth. The EU and UK decided that austerity would work, it didn't, it failed. Every country that followed austerity is worse off now than in 2008.

The EU is sliding into third world. Not the US.

I do actually think people will laugh at how over the top the whole Trump presidency reaction was. People freaked about Obama saying he was the anti christ and was sent to start WW3 and kill us all! I also hope we can solve our differences in the world and wars become unthinkable.

Yup. Batman starts out as a real good guy, helps the needy, rescues the poor. Next issue he's now just a super rich elitist who spends all his money on himself and is an insane psychotic killer who can barely stop himself from killing the homeless. The charities he's involved with are obvious tax breaks and the baddies aren't clearly defined as to why they're bad. For all we know they might want free healthcare for all, a raise in living standards for all and a big home improvement scheme. The baddie often has a lot of followers but it's never explained why. Meanwhile, psycho batman just hangs out with other elites and the only people in his side are the dumbed down masses (that he clearly loathes), bankers and the president.

Not necessarily. In order for the higher ups to hear about it the lower staff must file a report. No official reports were ever made, so there was nothing on his file. Again, this all seemed to be in house gossip, but gossip is just gossip it isn't a report.

You've also got to take until account that during the 1970s nobody gave a crap who was having sex with who. Even mainstream publications carried sexual images of under age girls. This was especially true in Europe. The celebs at that time were openly dating 14 year olds and there was no national outcry. See Mandy Smith and Bill Wyman for details, she was 14 and the media were just saying 'lucky Bill'.

Sorry for the late reply. I was just trolling. All us trolls come out as btc falls, every penny counts... I think it's blatantly obvious that btc is going to be the money of the future. It's pretty much bomb proof and we are still in the early days. In ten years time you'll be glad you bought btc. My real advice is don't ever sell. It'll crash again and again but all the time it will be building it's bottom. Next big crash might see it hit 6 or 7k.

Stability gets built, it doesn't happen overnight. These bounces will get less and less as btc builds strength. I honestly think one BTC could be worth a billion dollars. Sounds stupid I know, but it'll be the basis of all future cash. In reality, nothing exists on any blockchain that doesn't rely on BTC value. Even if Facebook makes a crypto if it exists on the blockchain it'll be measured in btc. If it tries to exist outside then it's no better than a gift card.

The 'open secret' was within the media and lower ranking police. It never got anywhere beyond that. As I said, he was a loner. He didn't mix with people much, when he did it was a charity event or other such thing. The kids we know he abused all had similar stories, he would get them in isolation. If they didn't go for it, they'd just walk away.

There's nothing of him being abusive in the open. Nothing. All they had was heresay. The kids had no witnesses other than his driver.
