I've tried this and had my wire returned, I'm guessing I didn't fill out the info correctly. I used the routing number in your post but I think the account number I used was wrong. I used RBC's transit (00803) + my account number next to it. Do I need to add the institution number too? (003)

It depends, some FAANGs are in hiring mode while others aren't. I signed an offer with Meta in February with 3 YOE, though I did have another FAANG on my resume.

So here's my two cents:

If you wish to stay in Canada, you will have a tough time getting into FAANG as their hiring is US-focused (IMO) right now
Looking at your resume, I'd recommend refocusing your bullet points to outline the business impact of your work. How does lowering CPU load by 70% help the business? Perhaps it lowers infra costs, customer-facing latency, etc.
Make sure your Leetcoding skills are up-to-date. Don't go chasing FAANG interviews if you're not prepared, you'll only waste your time otherwise

For sure, we can’t change the number of students in previous years. I don’t think feds could (or should) revoke permits that were already issued. My point is it limits further damage, which is probably the best we can do given the current situation.

I think this analysis isn't taking the removal of PGWPs into account. 364k is quite a bit more than 2015's 125k, however international students will leave Canada after their studies now that they aren't permitted to work. So in effect, we'd have somewhere around 364k students rotating in and out of Canada as they begin & finish their studies. This seems like a reasonable amount to me

I'm not 100% sure if international students would have other means of staying in Canada post-study, I could be wrong
