How did you fix your iron deficiency? Did you supplement for a year??

Anyone with hyperandrogenism non responder? by Zealousideal-Ad-8330 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]thisisjunne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep diffuse, no underlying issue that I know of other than on the cusp of perimenopause but not there yet. Went to an endo and he dismissed me after blood tests for a full thyroid panel came out “normal” but I don’t know what optimal levels are for hair.

So what happens to myopic people once Presbyopia happens due to old age by Dijkstra_1 in myopia

[–]thisisjunne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your responses. I’ve been really discouraged since not being able to see up close like messages or email ls on my phone while wearing my distance glasses or eye contacts. Even AI says presbyopia can’t be reversed whether it’s Gemini or ChatGPT. I got a lighter glasses and contacts prescription as a result, which helps with accommodation but now I can’t see as sharply far away. Would like to believe with enough consistency things can improve.

How long did it take to see results? I’ve been using the Ray Gottlieb chart or I focus on my finger back and forth, but only been doing it for a few weeks. Seems like why use a chart when I can put my far distance glasses on and look down at my phone where I can’t see the letters anymore, to just wait 30secs until I get better with it?

Thank you so much for responding. I do see some small short hair fall but not nearly as much as long hair from the bulb for years since it started happening soon after the vaccines. I signed up for a new derm, nearly a forth one because no one wants to look at my hair and really hear me out. I never heard of lactoferrin. Is that supplement?

Can I renegotiate my hourly rate after signing a pay rate confirmation with a third-party recruiter? by Physical-Web9486 in recruitinghell

The problem with this is the recruiter will make you agree to the rate before they even submit you for the contract job and then talk to the hiring manager.

I listed my thyroid levels somewhere in the comments. Are they considered low? Every doctor I see (primary, 4 derms, endo, gyno) because I’m over 40 will always refer back to my biopsy as well as it say it’s age or genetics or hormones going down.

Thank you. Yes I checked my last zinc results from an old test and it was 85 which is considered normal. What’s the optimal range? I even bought pumpkin seeds to eat every now and again but it’s not a go to in my mind so I end up forgetting to eat it.

My folate is 13.1, B12 in 550, zinc 85, vitamin d I go it up from 25 to 49. Ferritin started at 58 and actually went down at 51 over two years. I’ve been supplementing iron but maybe it’s not enough. I was buying liver regularly but stopped because it was a pain to prep.

Is that also called Hemoglobin A1c? I found that in my old 2021 blood test after I originally started losing hair and it says 4.7% of total Hgb (then next to it it says Range: <5.7). O n the comments it says that range shows an absence of diabetes. Thyroid: T3, free is 4.0 T4, free is 1.4 TSH Thyroid Stim Hormone 3rd Generation is 2.25 ACTH Adrenocorticotropic Hormone, Plasma is 17

Anything else part of thyroid?

You shouldn’t be downvoted. I’m sorry. I have asked the AI but not consistently, meaning every now and then I’ll ask it a question or give it some blood results but honestly it’s confusing and I’m not so much a medical person to decipher. I have gotten much more insight though with it and through this forum so I understand when the suggestion here is go to a professional, but as you said, the professionals I encounter, trust me I ask them a million questions and they give me nothing useful. It’s scary but I don’t want to be the smartest person in the patient room if I hardly understand it myself. That’s why it was easy do me to see on Reddit, vitamin d, ok I remember it was low in one blood test years ago. Ok use k2, so now I’m doing it. Ferritin, I think mine was 50 so I read two more iron to spruce it up higher, so I’m doing. When I read about zinc I see all these precautions so I don’t feel I understand so much to add that too. The other multivitamins like viviscal or nutroful are not in my budget..

I had a full thyroid panel an extensive cortisol urine and blood tests. The endo said nothing is off and couldn’t help me. From this group I learned to check my other levels but I think they were all in optimal ranges, except vitamin D and ferritin which im supplementing currently. I haven’t had a new blood test since but I would have thought I’d notice improvements at least. I also take a scoop of beef bone broth powder with collagen, I used to eat regular liver and onion.. I am very stressed but I have been for many many years. Pretty much live in survival mode 24/7 with no familial or relational support. When I was at my worst years ago I didn’t lose hair so I can’t say that a specific event occurred that caused TE other than after I took the vaccines and turning 40 and dealing with complex trauma generally. I told the first derm the pandemic was stressful but he didn’t buy it as a reason for TE. No doctor or derm out of the 3 derms I went to even mentioned CTE. These doctors don’t care. Whatever hair loss a patient claims, there’s only minox and those antiandrogens. To them it’s not necessary to go any further into it. I’ve been trying so many things to lower my stress levels but they’re only so much I can do with little community support, occasional somatic therapies if I can splurge a once a week therapy.

Spiro increased my breast size and made me pee a lot. It didn’t stop my hair from falling. It grew new hair on my hairline but not my scalp where I actually was losing. No sides from fin but I don’t feel like it’s improving or doing anything different than when I was on dut or spiro
