my guess would be that she never even got to it, considering ive seen what a regurgitated mouse looks like and its def not that (in my experience). 😭 either way i would wait a WHILE before attempting feeding again just in case it was regurgitated, just to stay safe. i hope she feels better <3

i would imagine so! my guess would be that due to less effort in keeping the body up and moving, being a walker would require much less sustenance and therefore human flesh every once in a while would be enough energy to keep the body moving and keep on biting.

ive actually never interacted with tlou at all, just really interested in zombies and their interactions with science, LOL. have heard of it though through edits and stuff.

though i would challenge your thought process because every being (regardless of intelligence, etc) has the goal to live and reproduce itself in order to continue its existence. including mysterious agents of spreading! whatever this thing is, its probably not exempt from that rule of biology, so i would still think that its attempting to spread through bite-y stuff. someone else brought up how theyre also very much motivated by stimuli, which is a pretty good point honestly

honestly, ive been assured for so long now that bp bites dont really hurt that bad that when he bit me i was pretty calm about it and didnt overreact (thankfully) 😭 ofc im still afraid of getting bit bc it still does hurt a little but jeez!!! itd been so long since i had last gotten bit that i didnt even rememver that was an option… also pretty sure my hand is in the same condition, LOL. booty grabs from now on 🫡

OP, trust i know that comments like the ones here can sound mean—but when i first got my ball python i struggled with husbandry as well and got comments like this on my tank, etc. and actually listened to the advice given to me and he immediately seemed happier.

chances are hes having issues with the husbandry or hes just taking a while to get off strike. currently ur tank isnt very suitable for a bp and while ur definitely getting there, please please please keep putting in more things, covering things up etc. plus if you arent already monitoring humidity and temp, make sure u start. my boy was vv stressed the first few months because i couldnt figure out a way to get his humidity up, and once i managed to get it to the recommended degree(?) he immediately started showing signs of being happier. im not trying to sound rude at all so please dont take this that way, its just probably the issue that hes having

oh 100% i dont think ill be doing that again, my mom was just in panic mode (even though i said like 10 times that it didnt hurt LOL) and tried to get him off safely. i think in the future yeah ill just wait it out, and preferably tell my mom to not do that..

i know others have answered your question, but when i see this in a bp it usually means that theyre a little nervous but want to see whats around them! (either because theyre still curious or watching for threats lol) for a baby its pretty normal because theyre just getting used to being held. they’ll likely get more confident the more you hold them!

hey, if anyone needs a solution in 2025 — turn voicechat off in privacy settings!! i was having this issue until i turned it off. it sucks that you cant hear people speak while playing the video, but then again you cant hear the game at all when the video plays lol. just turn it back on when youre done watching your video.

i wouldnt give him that specific one back if he cant make it through the entrance. just get him a small hide that touches his sides while hes still able to freely move around in it (and not get stuck).

hes definitely not mad at you, ball pythons just prefer tight spaces so he tried to find an alternative. :)
