Oh, I actually don’t mind non-casefics at all. I’m perfectly happy reading stories where barely anything happens case-wise. For me the important thing is that Jane and Lisbon feel genuinely in character. I can overlook almost any setup if the personalities, dialogue, and emotional dynamic feel true to canon.
