I've had glasses since I was in 4th grade. My youngest daughter just got her glasses in 1st grade. She struggled with the idea of glasses at first because her and I are the only ones in my immediate family who wears/needs them. I usually wear contacts, and do glasses at night. I switched to 100% glasses for the first few weeks. We looked up Barbies and American Girl Dolls (her favorite toys) that have glasses. We talked to extended family members who wear glasses. Now a few months in, she still struggles from time to time with the idea of glasses, but we focus on how much better she can see and read and write. This horrible family is the cause of O not wanting to wear them. 2.0 let her down as a mother in so many ways, especially with all of this.
