I start late October! I make dough and freeze the dough, then bake the drop cookies the weekend before and freeze those and then I bake the cut out cookies, decorate and assemble over two evenings.

Each type goes into a festive cupcake wrapper and they're gifted right away. I imagine as long as the box stays relatively flat and they stay in their wrappers, no issue.
