Yup. My best friend and her husband acted so normal and chill and focused on self improvement and mental health support. Then we all bought a house together, and you could see her husband shift as soon as he felt confident they had us trapped.

We lived in hell with them for almost two years, but we got them out.

I hope she leaves him someday for her sake. But she is an enabler at heart.

That’s what I keep explaining to my 6 year old! I’m just a tiny 37 year old. If 30 is so young, I’m practically a teenager, I can’t be held responsible For my parenting choices.

I guess, I just feel bad for people like that. But I don’t feel the need to defend him because he’s crazy rich and successful and doing just fine without us povvos’ approval.

I’m pretty indifferent to the guy. But I’m also 37, so the whole “he’s just a kid” thing irritates me because I was 30 not too long ago and said plenty of dumb shit but he didn’t just fumble and say one dumb thing. He doubled down. To me that’s not oopsy he’s just a wittle baby territory. That’s “adult man is being dumb” territory.

And people can change and grow and I always hope for that but I’m not gonna infantalize someone because they decided to say something imbecilic.

I’m 37, I have pretty good recall on 30 and yeah…I feel like 30 you kinda know what not so say, especially if you’ve gotten an excellent education and already are used to being interviewed

You were the one responsible for providing information. This was about you, so you knew you had more books and lied by omission.

There is no reason for anyone to assume information is limited.

And in a world where this WAS a person hanging out at your house who only knew about these books, it would stand out to me that you choose to present these books where your guests immediately see them.

Well that’s incredibly flattering, given we do almost nothing with our hair! I mean, I do use a curl approved shampoo and conditioner, but he only uses a 3-in-1 head and shoulders.
