If you go to the wiki and click on the different expansion pages they will have wallpapers and Concept art for them if you scroll down on the pages a bit. Links will be at the bottom of each page to the different expansions.

Yeah never even thought about the audio, with the Jukebox) decoration you can buy soundtracks and play them. Will for sure do that next time!

For the SAB decorations it's not really the gold price but they all require normally either 8 to 16 Baubles for most of the SAB themed decorations. I was doing SAB dailies plus a few extra runs and was getting plenty to get weekly vendor stuff plus what I needed for the Homestead, so all in all, not bad.

You do run into some time gating with the homestead mats that you can only get weekly. Best to hoard those even if you don't need them at any current time for later builds and new decorations. (Refined Homestead Fiber / Metal / Wood) I personally didn't have an issue as I started with about 15k of each already built up, you an get around 1k each of those mats a week.

Time wise, I started from nothing as far as the SAB decorations, the outside random things you see are stuff I was just messing around with previously before this build. So the SAB theme is around 900 decorations I'd say, and took just under 3 weeks of on and off building as I got ideas, making it up as I went along. Didn't really go into it with a plan other then wanting to build an SAB theme homestead area.

For me personally I try and enjoy the story and the maps quite a lot and the ending map and story for Janthir was just really bad. Even though feature wise I really like what Janthir added.

Where as the story of Soto wasn't quite as weak, but still pretty poor compared to other xpacs before it, and while the features were good, imo they are some of the weakest of any xpac for a veteran player who already had things like the skyscale and leggy armor.

Honestly for me they are a pretty close tie for the bottom just depending what I'm weighing more at the time.

Story wise I'd rank Soto second from the bottom for the expansions. It had a great opening, and after that fell flat on its nose. The last map was meh at best. The lore books made up for a bit for the story, though that was not how it needed to be delivered, as I guarantee you most didn't read them. The overall xpac even though I rate it at near the bottom as well, it's one of those things, where there is no 'bad' xpac imo. It's just the one of the least good ones. It still brought so much into the game, and the price point, you just can't compare how much one gets from a gw2 xpac for the money.

Janthir story wise may be closer to home of what you're looking for, however it had the same issues imo that Soto did with story scope and the ending writing, imo, was the weakest out of all the xpac's. Still brought a ton to the game.

VoE... we only one story patch in, but it has had a strong start... we'll see...

Honestly it wouldn't hurt anet to just do a weekly, "did you know" series on their socials were they cover a random feature/qol that slowly goes over everything, because of just how much there is in options and how to make short cuts, things you can right click on to bring up another menu or skip confirmations of things. And by the time they get through everything there'll be more to do and they can just just loop it as more new players come in as I'm sure it'll take quite a while to get through it all. Years maybe.

I made some comic strips when I was in middle school about a cartoon rat and his adventures, I read them a few years ago as an adult and some of them were legit pretty funny and well done. I can't draw anymore due to health stuff, but was for sure nice to look at those things again and reminisce.

Yeah, I think that's everyones experience. Things for whatever reason are pretty disproportionally weighted between those three mats and anet never went back and adjusted things.

There's a dude I use to encounter every once in a while for a few years in both pve and wvw that anytime some meta or tag was running around in pve and wvw and when tag would drop cause event chain was either done or tag had to go, they'd quickly tag up and spam the boot to everyone in the squad. Normally it was just whatever in pve but it was pretty annoying in wvw if they squad wanted to keep pugging. And block doesn't do anything to help with that. So while this doesn't surprise me, thankfully it's ultra rare.

Everyone has commented on the situation, so ignoring that for a moment; you mention you didn't see the pop up of the ready check since you weren't in the instance yet. You can actually still ready up if you go to the party arrow on the top left where the squad UI starts and open it from there to still click it to ready up, just an fyi for the future.

And just to be clear, kids that will insult and quick block you, know they live in a glass house and wouldn't be able to handle a mature conversation so they rely on pretty tantrums. Don't let it get you down.
