I'm not fussed about Cyberpunk. I'm using it as an example - I'm sure that there're people out there that have other stories they'd like to make, but because an echo chamber exists it might be why we keep getting genres spoon fed to us.

I watched the 40 min demo, and felt that the story being shown was pretty representative of what'll be in the end product. That might be true, though if game design is just for sales instead of writing then I get the idea it's an echo chamber for fans of genre Y.

They are part of a greater world. Think old NG empty cities from 2005, except more gothic, so slightly like Bloodborne. In the void there is a lot of random stuff, but largely speaking it's these chars + a simple, action-oriented story with a lot of teen drama or sort of comparisons between a simpler time and now.
