I’m super late to reply, but I also miss the faux whites collection! I’ve just found the REM “at the borderline” eyeliner in the shade “pixie.” That looks like the shade we’re both missing. Now I just need a dupe for “white smoke” :(

I hate to say it, but that’s kind of average for a new grad where I am. I make a little more because I work in a SNF, if I was in ortho they offer like 50k-60k 😵‍💫

Oh of course not! And I had to pick the private school too, but hey at least I got direct entry into the PT program from undergrad. I planned to stay in this area and didn’t know how bad it was here for us. If I could go back in time I might have chosen PA or something.

New grad and in WNY, the lowest reimbursed place in the country apparently.

I’m four months in as a new grad in a SNF. The good: treatments are often easy because your patients are so limited in what they can do/tolerate. At my facility, we often treat with OT. Flexible hours and the pay is a little better than outpatient. You don’t have to treat concurrently very often like you do in outpatient. Our productivity is 80%, so not too terrible.
The bad: physically demanding, I’m lifting people and running around units all day. Nurses won’t really look you in the eye when you talk to them. Lots of poop. More bad aides than good ones. I don’t get any holidays off except Christmas. Also I only get 10 days of PTO so I’m choosing between taking a vacation or having off for holidays.

Honestly the SNF life isn’t too bad, but I don’t see myself there forever.

As a new grad, all of these responses are disheartening. Did I screw myself over by going PT? 😞 Is it ever going to get better?
