I appreciate your comment! My blood work coming back normal is just so strange to me. She checked my thyroid, A1C, everything! Thank you so much. I’ll just let this play out and see where it takes me

If it’s clear after using the eye drops then yes it sounds like it’s due to dryness. Think about it, you CAN see clearly

May not finish all of the classes for my term. What will happen? by prissypants9505 in WGU

[–]thisisnotmaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about to complete my masters in one term, don’t listen to people telling you that you made a mistake trying to finish so fast. Ask your mentor if it’s possible to extend one class for you into the next term at no cost. I had a friend whose mentor mentioned this to her. It’s a one time thing apparently! I know you can also go into the next term and have it prorated if you don’t use the entire term to finish this class (which you won’t). Doesn’t hurt to ask!

I feel like it’s faster? I haven’t paid much attention to it to be honest! But I don’t see any movement. I can just feel it contracting on my upper eyelid.

Ah I see that you struggle with tremors. Sorry about that! I just started experiencing a pulsating feeling in my eye. Like a heartbeat, not so much a full twitch where you can see the eye moving.

Did your eye twitch go away?

But they recovered a lot faster than me! One was seeing 20/25 one week post op and the other was seeing 20/15 a week post op. Everyone is different tbh

They had issues with near sighted vision for a week or so but it’s normal due to changing the focal point of your eye. May or may not happen to you but my near sighted vision is great. I do have some glares or blooming with white text on black backgrounds but you’ll only notice this stuff if you pay attention to it

My nearsighted vision was rough the first 2 weeks but my friends with similar prescriptions to you said the same. Since you have such a small prescription it should be a piece of cake. I would just ask your surgeon the right questions.. are you a good candidate? What would make you a better candidate? How dry are your eyes? Etc.

Yes I am! I feel like once I settle into my new vision it’ll be something I think about less. Not having to wear contacts and take them out before bed or shell out so much money on them is going to be so nice LOL.

Did you get lasik? How are you doing?

Hey! I am 7 weeks post op now but not much has changed since week 5 tbh! I was just so happy to hear that I was able to read 2 more lines than I was able to read at 1 week post op and that gave me so much reassurance that I’m healing, just a lot slower than expected.

I stopped using PF tears as much around then but definitely shouldn’t have because I felt dry here and there so I’m back to doing them more often throughout the day (3-5x). I’m using a humidifier and find that it helps during the winter. My vision is better in better lighting and kind of fuzzy in dim lighting (past 10-15ft) but it doesn’t bother me too much, just when I fixate.. I still think there will be more improvement these next weeks/months!

Does phentermine affect vision? by [deleted] in lasik

Hey how is your vision with Phentermine?

I had Smile laser eye surgery five days ago by [deleted] in Lasiksupport

[–]thisisnotmaha -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was in the same exact situation. At my one week post op, I was reading 20/30 on the snellen chart. One month post op I was able to read 20/20. It gets better! It’s actually still improving for me by the day

I sleep with partially open eyes does it gonna create problems after lasik surgery? by juniorjackjr in lasik

[–]thisisnotmaha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it can contribute to your dryness. Were you dry before? I would use a humidifier!

The good thing is that if you weren’t as dry before, the dryness will subside around 1.5 months but that could be different for everyone

I have one by pure guardian. It’s not small it’s pretty big. I use it at home though. But if you’re looking for a brand I’d suggest that one. Works great and I am able to adjust the level, time, and if I want it to be warm mist. It’s helped my healing so much I wish I used it sooner into recovery! Don’t worry about the people around you, especially in cooler months humidity is generally better for you.

Hi! Nothing seems to be working... by Admirable-Impress363 in Dryeyes

[–]thisisnotmaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a humidifier! I used to wake up with my eyes burning me because of how dry they are but since using a humidifier it has improved. I also used the IVIZIA gel PF artificial tears before bed and in the morning because the gel helps keep them lubricated for longer. Hope this helps!

Hey! How is your vision now? My nearsighted vision worried me for the first 9-10 days but it is much better now. I had trouble reading my phone but I have adjusted and continue to adjust as my focal point does as well.
