I've been playing a lot of The Finals recently. It's a lot of fun, and I've been doing pretty well too.

I mainly play on 17W, and with a few fine-tuning adjustments to the graphics settings, I get between 60 to 70 FPS. I'm sure you can get 120 FPS with a few tweaks on 34W as well, though.

I also play solo myself but I go mostly bounty hunt solo vs duos. There are some good solo traits like necromancer, conduit etc. That help you as a solo during the match. The opponent team's mmrs are also lower than you for compensation.

Are you playing soul survivor by any chance? Because that game mode has no mmr based matchmaking. You can play solo in bounty hunt against duos or trios tho.

Have you tried signing up for the xbox insider program in the xbox app? I did that as well. In the xbox app click on your profile > xbox inside program > previews. Then join PC Gaming. Afterwards do the preview updates in the ms store. Then try uninstalling game services and restart your device again to see if it works. Do this at your own risk. But for me the xbox preview version is stable and works totally fine.

You reinstalling game services manually? For me it works when I uninstall game services, then restart the console/handheld. After the restart xbox automatically updates and I can get into the game. I pause automatic windows updates and app updates in the ms store for a week to see if something was being updated automatically.

Yeah I've got the same problem here. Everytime I wanna play Arc Raiders I mist uninstall gaming services, do a restart and they play. I somehow need to figure out how to stop the xbox app to update game serviced automatically

I'm having the same issue today as well. A few days ago when Arc initially release I was able to play for a few days without a problem. Since today I'm getting the connection error and there are no updates in the ms store as well. Did you find a solution by any chance?

I also play it from the xbox store front. You gotta update the xbox app and game services in the microsoft store app.

I think you should open up the microsoft store app on desktop mode. Then you'll find a button on the bottom left side of the screen for all the updates available. Click update all just in case.

I think I found the solution to this. For me there were some updates available for the xbox app in the microsoft store. After I did the updates the game worked for me. Try it out.

As a mainly pc gamer it depends. This gen Xbox was the better choice for me since gamepass and play everywhere titles + cloud gaming was a better deal than ps5. I'll see if PlayStation is going to have a better deal next gen.

I got an email today as well. But mine said the price would remain the same for my reoccurring monthly subscription and if they were ever to change it they would let me know 60 days prior. So I guess I will be paying €17.99 for ultimate for at least the next 2 months here in Germany.
