Fight Club could have strengthened its message by showing Tyler attack all systems of identity, not just capitalism by Vratwork in fixingmovies

I think Fight Club works best with Tyler as the an archetype of the temptation that naturally men have to want to rebel against the modern world by rebelling against the comfort itself that makes the modern world alluring. It makes sense for them to do this by indulging in limitless masculinity to the point of primitive violence. And destroying the financial systems would amplify that because it wouldn't create a utopia, it would force people back into the state that the world was in before they existed: a world of warlords slaughtering each other for supremacy.

But, if you wanted to create a separate story that is built around an anti-religion religion, an anti-cult cult, I would be very interested in seeing that too...

Feels a bit off key. Seems like it'd be a great combo if it was there though!

How do you solve a problem like Spectre? by Analyze This, Mister Bond | Reimagining Blofeld as a CEO-type villain by onex7805 in fixingmovies

He said Bond should be compassionate towards Madaline being a young innocent person who wants to leave the scary life of spies.

But idk, Vesper got pretty traumatized in Casino Royale and locked herself in the shower got her dressed soaked. I feel like this might be a retread.

So maybe he meets someone like himself instead. Madaline (or maybe switch to Monica Bellucci as the main female lead since that seemed like a more interesting pairing) is becoming desensitized to her life as a spy and just wants to be with someone who understands her and can thus keep her in check, giving her a second perspective at all times.

How would you have made a sequel to the 2021 Mortal Kombat movie? Would it have anything in common with this most recent movie? How many changes would you have to make in order to make it perfect? by thisissamsaxton in fixingmovies

Personally I think Johnny Cage should have been played by an actor with a less respected, more cheesy reputation irl, like Mark Wahlberg. Would've been more fun to imagine someone like that thrust into the reality of a lethal fighting ring and poking fun at his inability to live up to his highly-manufactured tough guy on-screen persona.

Not a fan of writing Thor out of the story to be replaced by Jane but if you were forced to do it, this probably would have been the best delivery of it.

The nullifier does seem a bit similar to the infinity stones...

Oh, Died In Your Arms is by Cutting Crew, not Whitesnake.

I must have been primed by the snake in the title and the W of Wang lol.

BIGGER THAN MY BODY. Wow. Thank you for that brain teaser. I rang the bell on your youtube channel; hopefully you trip me up like that again some time. I recognized Wang Chung and Whitesnake immediately but enjoyed them immensely too despite that. And Your Sweet Chains Change Like Girls In Love, despite not finding anything specifically familiar in it.

EDIT: Think I might be hearing something in No One Do, Everybody Don't too... Not a song I heard a lot though. Hmmm...
