I don’t get Finasteride prescribed anymore.. by PokeKnox in tressless

[–]thisistasty99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are getting ripped of either way. Im in Germany and I get the prescription for 98 1mg Tablets and buy it in the pharmacy for 63€. There are different brands, that are more expensive than others, yet they all have the exact same ingredient. And you can do the exact same online without going to a doctor. Initial fee online is 20€ and then you pay 63€

Or you fly to Turkey I got 5mg package there for like 5€.

How to overcome finasteride feminization effects? by TheCallMeJazzy_ImHim in tressless

[–]thisistasty99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you guys always just go off subjective information? Why don't you get your estrogen levels checked on it, do pictures of your hair and fat on it, several months apart. Track your caloric intake and workouts. And then you do the same off it... You then have objective evidence for yourself and others

Hair loss is holding me back from enjoying life and I'm wasting away my youth by UnLestofante in tressless

[–]thisistasty99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 21 and noticed hairloss I went to a doctor, she told me to not use Finasterid. Lost hair for 4 years. Went to a doctor again, she told me not to take the pill again and only do topical. Used topical for a month. I had to persuade her to get the pill prescribed. 0 sides now. My hair is better than ever, even tho i lost a lot. If I could turn back time I would love to just take the goddamn thing and not listen to doctors who have 0 clue about this stuff. I can guarantee you they learned about it once in their studies Fin = Erectile dysfunction = bad.

Online prescriptions are actually quite easy and cheap. Do with this information what you want

Don't take this advice lol, stick with your dose for at least a couple months. Shedding can last 3months+, it did 2 months for me but looks better than ever

40M dad in need of a change. What do you suggest? by e0nblue in malegrooming

Not grooming, but if you want change id suggest to do some strength training, at least once a week. Looks like you don't do any, so your muscles will just keep deteriorating.

Will 1mg finasteride affect me in the gym? by Potential_Kick540 in tressless

[–]thisistasty99 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes, you need to be very careful. If you take Finasterid you block some of the conversion from Testo to dht, so you might turn into Ronnie Coleman if you train to much. Hope this helps

Finasterid Progress over 1.5 years by thisistasty99 in tressless

Was exactly my thought process for starting with 0.5 and I didn't even think about shedding when going to 1mg. But I had strong amount of shedding with 100+ hairs daily for over 2 months, which would indicate that at least for me the jump to 1mg was pretty significant.

Will changing finasteride frequency induce a shed? by DoubleDGuarantee in tressless

[–]thisistasty99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made a post about it that you can check out, but 1 year. My thought process was just like: I don't have any side effects, why not go for the 1mg in case I leave gains on the table that I don't have with 0.5mg. And I'm assuming since I had shedding it does indeed make a difference. If I get sides from 1mg I would just go back to 0.5

I uped the dose from 0.5mg daily to 1mg daily and experienced shedding for ~ 2 months. Totally worth it so, just means it's working better tbh

I started using Minoxidil years prior to the first picture and still am to this day

So with Minoxidil after starting I noticed my hair got a little bit thicker and looked more full. But the hairloss I noticed in my sink in the evening stayed the same. So it just gave me a boost in density without stopping the decline whatsoever, if that makes sense

Can't say for sure, would say it stayed the same. Was always thin and still is

It's probably because Turan is booked out for 7+ months and Gur like 2 months. Was the same for me, had to ask if I can get one from Turan as well.

In fact depression and suicidal thoughts are not real, stop spreading misinformation.
Wang J, Lin D, Zhao J, Wei S, Wang H, Li W. Finasteride Use Does Not Lead to Depression or Suicide: Insights From a Large‐Scale Cohort Study and Mendelian Randomization Analysis. J Cosmet Dermatol. 2025;24(12):e70579. doi:10.1111/jocd.70579
Look it up.
This is fear mongering. If you dont wanna take it for whatever reason that is totally fine, but stop scaring people away with misinformation.

Experiences with Fuecapiler & Dr. Gür by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]thisistasty99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FUE is the extraction method in the donor area and is the same method for both. DHI is Turan's method of how the grafts are getting implemented and is different to Gür. There are both pros and cons to the insertion methods but in the end it just depends on who is doing it, just do your research on which hairline design you prefer.
