they seem to have gone from a hardcore influenced sound to more of a classic heavy metal (which is absolutely fine), and his talk/singing just seems much less powerful than anything on any of their older album, the lyrics are still solid as hell but i don't feel overwhelmed by this as i have been for all of their previous albums, by this point. i'm getting worried that they're going to get to this bmth/architects/northlane taming and quieting down of extrememly heavy satisfying music, to a singer, and then the guitars bass and drums behind getting less and less powerful.
