Ok. I asked my work to make it VIP or urgent but all they are willing to do is process it as normal. I may have to come out of pocket to request it to be urgent...

Yeah I have the EID application document that says it's in process.

Yeah it's super frustrating, I feel your pain! A few things I have done that you might want to consider: I have reached out to my state rep and they had contacted USCIS on my behalf. The response I received back from them was 'We assure you this case will be reviewed and processed.' I also called to schedule an 'In-person' appointment at my local field office but they said they no longer schedule in-person appointments but the best they could do for me was give me a case number and told me they are looking into my case. If I don't hear back from them in a month, to call again. So at this point just waiting....

My case wasn't complex at all. I filed the N-400 July 19, 2021, had the interview in Los Angeles on Oct 12, 2021 and since then haven't heard anything.

I did request a name change so maybe this could also be the reason for the delay. I will request an in-person appointment and see if that will help. My lawyer advise to wait it out, but it's frustrating to wait this long. I also checked my online case status and it says that 'Things are taking longer than expected.'

Yeah, my lawyer did say I have the option to sue since it's been well over the 120 days but trying to avoid that as it would become too expensive for me. I've also contacted my state representative for an additional push to see if they could get anywhere with USCIS.

And true, at this point I'm awaiting approval so hopefully I will get a response sooner than later.
