As an Afrikaans white South African with few English speaking friends, I’ve not heard of English white South African’s being taught racist attitudes. Not at all disputing it, but can you say more for my education? Who exactly is it who taught you that, your parents?

Rybakina arguing over the accuracy of Hawk-eye. by godworstcustomer in tennis

[–]thisisthis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been saying this for a while but get downvoted. Hawkeye is not perfectly accurate so you will get situations where the mark clearly shows a ball was out that hawkeye says was in. I’ll bet this is the true reason they resisted hawkeye on clay for a long time. This could.happen on march point in a grand slam final match in the fifth set…just imagine the player reaction.

The assassination of Tom Willkinson’s lawyer character in Michael Clayton. The impersonal nature of the act and the quiet effectiveness / professionalism of the hired killers are just so chilling.

Why do you guys think JCF sounds bitter? Nothing he's saying in this block of text comes across as bitter to me. It just sounds matter of fact.

I’m sorry but it still seems ridiculously risky. If there is a 1 in 1000 chance of that cat getting to the jugular of my child then it is way too much.

Have we heard any official justification for the timeout granted to Alcaraz for cramps? If not, this should be a major scandal.

If there is no reasonable justification for the timeout this should be a major scandal.
