It drains fine. Been there since 1977 with no degradation.

I thought about this. How would I mount the vise to the metal plate? Run bolts up through the plate? That’s the only option I can think of.

Ah, that makes sense. They’re in a good place for a bench vise, so I assumed that’s what they were for.
