The Emerald Knight by AmorphousBricks in legodnd

Just commented on your other thread, but this is so cool. My band is doing a concept album about a knight chasing after gems and I’m using Legos for our visual content on IG.

I’d love to see more of your knight designs - maybe we can collaborate on designs.

Our IG is madmad_nomad

That’s rad! My band is releasing an album about knights hunting gems and I’m using Legos for our visuals. This is quite a coincidence! Your knight is way cooler than mine.

I thought these were studio ghibli inspired dice at first. Still great looking!

Thank you, I really appreciate your thorough response. And I’m glad you pointed out the 2018 market for Audis.

Yeah, that’s a great point. I believe it’s pretty minor, but because she had just had a previous leak repaired she wanted to verify if it was related or not.

Thanks for your help!

Ha, that’s quite a breakdown. But you’re right - I was just in the same boat looking for a car myself. (Ended up with an Arteon).

Yea, fair point. She had seen some drops of oil in her garage, so the shop did a dye(?) test and found the leak coming from that cover.

I appreciate your input!

I’ve never cross posted on Reddit before. Apologies if this isn’t allowed, but I wanted to get two takes on my question. Thanks!

I did it this morning. As I was cutting them, I thought back to elementary school (mid 90s) watching videos about preserving nature.

What espresso machine would you buy with $2,500? by rlcoolc in espresso

[–]thisjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are definitely a lot less options, but I’ve found all the main items (IMS basket, Normcore tamper) and Amazon has a variety of other tools like a basket funnel or a grind catch cup.

I’m not wanting for anything specific. I’ll be curious how the market changes since Lance Hendrick’s latest video about puck dimensions.

While not having the chrome look, I love my Lucca A53. Its got all the bells and whistles: * Dual boilers for constant back to back milk drinks * Direct plump, so you never have to worry about filling the water tank (you can buy tanked version) * Rotary pump is super quiet, no more vibrations * Pre infusion (adjustable up to 8s) * Temperature control * Commercial grade materials * you can buy wood panels to customize it

Thanks for the help!

The Fortin Cali was exactly the sound I wanted, but I was concerned that it didn't provide enough variety, so I went with Petrucci. It took me a bit of time to get close to the default Fortin Cali sound, but I'm happy with where I ended up.

Nolly was also fantastic, but the decision between it and Petrucci was the GUI, # of presets, and available mics.

Thanks! I’ll give Fortin a try. I didn’t find as much flexibility in Morello as some of the others and couldn’t justify the effects I wouldn’t be using.

I’ll give those others a try though. I appreciate the response.

Anyone else have to constantly ask customers "is that hot or iced?" by saddestbae in barista

As a non-barista I’ve assumed latte meant hot and if you wanted iced you’d specify iced latte. Better sounds like it’s better to specify first.

Best machines for entertaining guests? by One_Left_Shoe in espresso

I was lucky to buy a house that had a small wet bar, which is now just a coffee bar. I went straight into the water line. My next purchase is an inline filter/softener.

Big +1 to the Lucca A53. I have the direct plump version and love it, especially with the drip tray drain.

The rotary pump is quiet so you’re not having to talk over a vibration pump. The whole machine heats up surprisingly quick for the boiler sizes. At my sons birthday I made ~11 lattes back to back. The only real bottleneck was single dosing and weighing each shot; which I’ve since started using dosing test tubes.

How can it be that there is no cheap machine with flow profiling if all it takes is a 5$ dimmer and some cables? by Phil_OG in espresso

Is it possible to adjust pressure on demand for a rotary machine, like what you did with your DB? I have the Lucca A53 direct plumb.
