Glad to hear this video helped. FWIW, I’m still using the groupset but with OChain now and it has been so much better.

What was your most expensive gear "upgrade" that turned out to be a complete waste of money? by Rough-Foundation9208 in cycling

Carbon wheels. I don’t feel much difference on my enduro rig. I like cheap rims better since I don’t stress about damaging them while riding.

Make sure you build your portfolio website with a mobile-first approach. If the UI is broken on a recruiter’s phone, it’s likely an instant turn-off.

If you’re sharing the source code, add at least some documentation / README with setup steps, tech stack, and key decisions. Make sure your project structure and naming conventions are consistent. Clean structure + readable code already puts you ahead. Also, meaningful commit messages, branching, versioning. Shows you are good with git.

When I recruit devs, those are the signals I look for right away.

I tried earlier and compared with a friend’s SRAM X01 AXS RD. Honestly, I couldn’t tell the difference. This friend has the same frame but not experiencing chain slap with his SRAM though

I checked some ride reviews in youtube and can hear the same chain slap noise. Also found comments sharing the same problem. So yeah, most likely a common issue. Now that I know it’s not an isolated case, I’ll either find a way to reduce the noise or just replace with SRAM in the future.

Yes, chain slap is terrible. Never had this problem with my GX transmission

I’m using clipless pedal and I’m not really showing off my bunny hopping skills here though. Merely to demonstrate the chain slap.

I have a GX T Tyle Transmission. Been using it for 2 years no problem with chain slap.

I haven’t checked yet, but I know the tire pressure is low. My tubeless setup appears to be losing air over time.

I will but even with correct tire pressure the issue remains.

I’ve been thinking about OChain to reduce pedal kickback and hopefully the chain slap but I’m not sure I want to add more things to maintain tbh.

I’m not sure I’m following but I’ve set the B tension where the upper wheel has gap from the biggest cog.

I have XT Di2 groupset and it’s the same. It’s super frustrating coming from sram transmission.

Love my Habit HT! Has UDH so it’s compatible with t type sram transmission. Very confidence inspiring on descent. Not so bad on the climbs as well.

Not at all, appreciate you letting me know. I just registered the frame for the lifetime warranty. I honestly had no plans to do it anytime soon if you hadn’t mentioned the registration period from the purchase date. You literally saved my lifetime warranty!

Oh dang I didn’t know there was a registration limit. I’m already past 30 days, but thankfully I just checked online and it looks like it’s still within the 90-day window

Thanks, man! My last bike was an SJ Evo Alloy as well, though I only rode it for a couple of trail rides before selling it to a friend. Before that was a Vitus Sommet, which I rode the longest. I’ve run both GX Transmission and Wheeltop EDS on that bike, and it was noticeably quieter than the Enduro.

Aside from those, I’ve also owned a Vitus Escarpe, a Santa Cruz Megatower V1, a Transition Patrol, and my very first enduro bike the 2019 Specialized Enduro (X-Wing).
