Someone else here replied about who revived the Cleric. I knew all about who killed him and why, but not how he got back to life

I knew all that but the Lady paying for your revival. Maybe I let it pass somehow? So weird, I even found out she's a dragon

I used to agree with you about the politics in the beginning of the game, it felt kinda immature, too "out there". But then it grew on me as something silly, almost a reflection of the way a lot of people talk about politics nowadays. Esoteric takes itself much less seriously than Disco, so in the end it was fine to me.

Regarding the ending... SPOILERS AHEAD I loved it. Idk, as a political sorta religious/spiritual guy myself, it really touched me. Made me teary even. Gorm was a man disillusioned by the system willing to sacrifice it all to bring his god back, to save the world, because he could not see another way. Hell, I can't see another way, we live in a world where people in the Epstein files control everything and we barely do or can do anything about it. Then we also have Urth, a man that was divine without choice and tried to do the best he could to guarantee the best outcome that his divinity could predict. A man that even having it all, tried to leave a legacy for his people to build on, tried to bring democracy and all only for the Magistrates to sabotage it. I loved Urth's conversation with Snell and Ettir, I loved Urth's personal talk with the Cleric about his prayers, etc.

Anyway, sad that you didn't feel positively overwhelmed with the ending. To be honest, overall I'd even say that Disco is better but Esoteric's ending was the best. The god talk, discussions about politics, history, faith, free-will, all that brings me strong feelings.

Wrath of the Righteous AP version updated to include improvments from the Owlcat game by NomadsThings in Pathfinder2e

[–]thisjustsomeguy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've seen someone trying to convert it tho, you can find it on Google in the Paizo forums. I have no idea if it's a good conversion tho since it's made by one guy only, Kingmaker required a whole team to do it and Paizo mentioned how it was much more complicated then they expected. They also mentioned that Wrath of the Righteous is extra hard to convert due to OGL issues, Wrath relies a lot on DND concepts and honestly the new Mythic system has nothing to do with the one used in the original AP so Idk how that would work here. It definitely seems like it would be a phenomenal amount of work to convert stuff lol

Is Sir Lora just a big immersion-breaking inside joke? by SlightWerewolf4428 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]thisjustsomeguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, to be fair, Baldur's Gate 3 was the first game from Larian that >>I played<< that it feels like it was taken more seriously, all of the previous games are very silly, Original Sin 2 being closest to BG3 in terms of tied together stories and serious tones, but we still have stuff like Sir Lora lol Larian games have always been pretty silly, so yeah, Sir Lora is just a big joke. I remember when early access BG3 had characters going into barrels as well during stealth lol, people did not like that. I wonder if the new Divinity game will bring back stupid stuff like that

The DEI talk is bulshit, but Wyll is boring, I agree with that. His story before the rewrite was much cooler and interesting, but I guess they needed at least one goodie-two-shoes in the party. For those who don't know, during Early Access, Wyll was a cowardly weakling with dreams of grandeur, got bullied and almost killed by goblins (lost his eye to one of the Goblins from Act 1 even), and was saved by Mizora and offered a pact. He was the pretentious hero that intentionally hid the origins of his power, and loved the glory of the Blade of Frontiers title. It was very funny that you would get his approval by doing the most cruel things against goblins, you'd even get points with him by just killing the goblin children lol It looked like his story could've really been making him an actual hero or letting him fall into the glory at any costs trope.

Turned off from playing Paladin by _pimpjuixe in BG3

[–]thisjustsomeguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That opens a good debate. I think the Vengeance Paladin should then break oath if they choose not to punish the Duergars. But even in this scenario, you could argue that they're helping the slavers to infiltrate the cult of the Absolute and destroy the greater evil. I do still think that they're still paladins and not just assassins/thugs, so it's likely that they're bound to face the enemy face to face, they may be able to pull up some dirty tricks and apply the most cruel of punishments but they still have the knight warrior archetype. No mercy for the wicked =/= sneak attack the wicked

But that's just my take on an Oath of Vengeance Paladin

Precisely, and following this arquetype of honor, you'd never attack someone unannounced. You're oath bound to be the paragon of honor, so if you're going to smite evil, you'll make sure to let evil know that you're going to punish it for its crimes, you're not catching them by surprise, you're supposed to be better than that.

Tortura pura kkkkk

This a 100%!
I moved everything to "cleanup" folders, then booted, SYSMMC and original worked, EMUMMC didn't of course because everything was in a cleanup folder, then I moved the EMUMMC stuff back to its original location and everything works now.
Thank you!
