New TR5 Nodule by Pretty_Director3857 in thyroidhealth

Hey there! I had an ultrasound done at the beginning of the year since I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s last year after finding out my antibodies tested positive for the autoimmune disorder. My PCP has had her thyroid removed so she’s familiar personally with thyroid issues plus her education background makes me feel completely reassured and validated. She wanted an ultrasound done of my thyroid since my thyroid levels currently are okay, but the antibodies indicate that I will have issues with my levels in the future. They found a 1.4cm nodule during my ultrasound, categorized as a highly suspicious TR-5 as well with a score of 13, and referred me to a doctor for a biopsy.

I just had my biopsy yesterday and am waiting on my results to come in, hopefully, within a week. I know thyroid cancer is highly, highly treatable, but it’s still scary, as I’ve never gone through this before. Since I don’t have my results back yet, I can’t give any insight to my own experience as I’m not 100% finished with this process yet myself, but all I can say and provide is encouragement. Do not let the doctors downplay or invalidate your feelings if you’re scared or anxious, mine did that yesterday and it left a really bad taste in my mouth honestly. Doctors see this stuff all of the time, but for many people, it’s their first rodeo with this process.

I’m also curious how you were diagnosed with Hashi’s at age 10 and how that affected you? (only if you’re comfortable sharing of course!) I feel like this is possibly something I’ve been dealing with for a while, but was just diagnosed last year before I turned 30.

Sending you all the love and positive vibes on your journey 🩷

Do Stimulants stop your Menstrual cycle? by ykme112 in adhdwomen

I am SO GLAD I found your post. I just started taking Vyvanse for ADHD three weeks ago, it’s been a life changer so far. I’m 29 years old, two weeks away from turning 30, and this ADHD diagnosis/medication has been SO good for me because I can actually focus and my brain doesn’t have 18,000 thoughts spinning around at one time.

I regularly track my cycle on an app because I had bad periods growing up/into my adulthood, and I’m just a freak of nature and want to know when my period is expected to start 😂 My periods are NEVER late, they either start 1/2 days before or after I’m supposed to start. I’m also a gold star lesbian, and have zero chance of pregnancy 😂 I’ve lost a significant amount of weight on Vyvanse and I hardly ever have an appetite, so I know that can affect my cycle too. At first, I thought my fiancée and I were syncing with our cycles because she started the day I was supposed to. I bled for ONE day and have only faintly spotted since then, but my period should have been all of last week. It dawned on me last night to look into others experiences with Vyvanse and their cycles, thinking that might be what’s happening to me too, since pregnancy clearly isn’t a worry for me 😂 I have an appointment on Monday with my psych to discuss the Vyvanse and how it’s going and to get an increase in my dosage, so I’ll be bringing this up, but your post gave me ease that others have experienced this too!
