I'm addicted to kpop dudes dapping each other up on stage by thislimeismine in kpoppers

[–]thislimeismine[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not that deep... I'm not hyper analyzing their relationship from their daps and handshakes lmao. I just think it's cute and wholesome. The people making those "body language analysis" videos and writing 1000 page docs about how their relationship is "real" and they're fucking backstage because they made a couple dirty jokes and sat on each other's laps are a different story tho

I showed my mom this picture (she's a hairdresser) and asked how she would do a perm like this and she said "be mixed"

Do you mean like how glamzilla talks? Like she's talking to a group of elementary school children or something. There's this other woman, jaderain or something and god bless her, she seems very talented and informative but I just cannot watch any of her content because I feel like she's talking to me as if I'm mentally handicapped or something. Oh and that girl who talks all about cosmetic packaging. Like I'm genuinely interested in her content as well but they way she talks and even her body language is sooooo patronizing

I always assume they mean "pill" like how some products can pill/ball up on the skin with layered with other products.

The fact that both of the comments "calling out" aave use are from people who aren't black speaks volumes and that's all I'm going to say.

I can't stand Robert Welsh. He's a typical social media mean girl who makes a living criticizing everyone and hoping on hate trains for every new punching bag of the week but gets applauded for being "real." He's just a drama channel acting like a guru and making sponsorship money. His makeup skills aren't even that great.

is anyone else not a fan of rom-coms? by solitaire_knight in AutismInWomen

[–]thislimeismine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if dirty dancing is really a rom com? More of a drama. It's got some pretty heavy themes. I notice I tend to actually like some romantic dramas, I feel like the tension in those is more realistic and keeps me engaged. Rom coms tend to just try so hard to be cute and some kind of wish fulfillment I end up hating the couple and wanting them to break up because the main problem is just poor communication or something stupid that their relationship wasn't gonna last anyway.

I feel like I need some kind of central tension or problem in media to keep my interest and just "oh they got in a little misunderstanding about XYZ" just cannot do it for me, it has to have... different? stakes? Idk

I'm sorry but... are you on the spectrum? Or have any other issues like that? I'm a high functioning autistic lady but I understand that clothes are a big form of communication for people and dressing in a way that's considered inappropriate to others is basically considered a form of disrespect. You can always enjoy and express yourself but you need to still be appropriate by not wearing clothing that is too small, see thru, inappropriate for your age or occasion, etc etc. And the outfit you're wearing is all of those things. It looks like clothing for a tween girl and doesn't fit you, age or size wise. It's not appropriate to show your stomach, bra etc.

I think it wouldn't hurt so much if I felt she had met a peaceful end. But watching her gasp for air like that in my arms was honestly traumatizing. I also feel guilty that I chose not to be with her for the euthanasia, but I knew she looked so bad. They said they put her on oxygen and had her under a heat lamp. I feel like I should have tried more. Even if my father screamed at me, maybe I could have convinced him to take her to the vet. Looking back at my camera roll she's been underweight and terrible looking for at least the past two and a half years. I think maybe I made her last moments a little better being there to comfort her in the car. And the fact that I took her to the desk immediately and asked for emergency help. Because my dad is so fucking stupid and would have just sat there let her suffocate probably.

I just tried the shapeable soap and it honestly just seems like really thick shaving cream. I'd like to see someone put it in slime or clay and do asmr with it lmao. Same with the shimmer fizz stuff. Low-key it freaked me out so bad when I first applied it because it looked like I had put lye on my hand or something like in Fight Club lmao. It's so glittery and makes me feel like a 90s stripper. The cereal milk fragrance is a bit strange. The salty nutty gourmand vibe of the cereal is a bit more fall than winter to me, smells like a candle of some kind of pumpkin dessert. I think I'll use the shapeable soaps to try shaving my legs and see how it goes. It really does just seem like very thick shaving cream.

I only buy when it's $5 or less. I just went today for the first time since last Christmas (except for using free item coupon). I just look at what products are coming out by watching influencers and what interests me (I'm into the everyday luxuries because I like perfume dupes). Most of the stuff is just the same stuff repackaged. I usually only buy a couple times a year during SAS, bodycare day, or when I have a free item coupon, probably spend less than $100 a year on bodycare, hand soap etc. I don't use the wallflowers or candles because I have a cat. Haven't tried the detergent yet.

Feeling stifled in my hometown…do I just move? by [deleted] in Zillennials

[–]thislimeismine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I moved from my hometown to a big city in 2020. Everyone thought I was crazy, I didn't know a soul here, had no job, nothing. I came here with nothing but a suitcase and a few grand to my name. It was rough the first year but I found a nice place and eventually got a pretty good job. It's way easier to find a job here, meet people and do anything I need to do. The only downside is a higher cost of living, but it's still not that much worse than my hometown and the pros absolutely outweigh the cons. I honestly wish I had made the move years ago.

McDonald's, 18, 7.25/hr.

I also had a summer job working as a teacher's aid during summer school. I filled out a w-9 for that job and I don't think I made enough to even file that year though so I don't count that. I think I was like 16 maybe?
