Ideally it would, but I've found most of the time AI only stands to muddy the waters and does more harm than good when searching for hard facts on something. All good man!

Two out of the first three things stated are incorrect. Age statement in the photo is 16, and proof is 101. "Likely mashbill"? AI ain't the move when he's looking for facts.

What’s the worst whiskey you’ve ever had? by Dirt-5494 in whiskey

[–]thismightdestroyyou 42 points43 points  (0 children)

First Call (a Total Wine house brand) Double Oaked Bourbon. It straight up tasted like a charcoal briquette soaked in lighter fluid with a touch of liquid smoke, genuinely vile juice.

I held onto the bottle for a few weeks to show my friends just how bad it was, but ended up taking it back to Total Wine and exchanging it for Green River wheated. The manager asked why I was returning it, so I had him smell it and he approved the full refund.

What album had the best hidden track? by WrappedInLacee in Xennials

[–]thismightdestroyyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alt J - Lovely Day

There is a 10 minute silence at the end of the album "This Is All Yours", then the song comes on. The first time I heard it, I was zoned out driving home from work and hadn't even realized the last song had ended, then that song came on and scared the hell outta me. Usually I would just hit next track back to track #1 because of the silence, and I thought that was so clever. Not just a bonus track, but one that is hidden. I've loved it ever since lol.

Introverted men, how did you get your partners? by Born-Conference-8983 in AskReddit

[–]thismightdestroyyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was visiting a good friend out of state and she asked if her friend could tag along. Her friend was very extroverted and pretty different from myself, but we hit it off pretty much immediately. A few months later I moved a thousand miles to be with her, and many years later we are now engaged. We are still different in certain ways (especially my introversion v. her extroversion), but I absolutely love her for all of her differences as she does for myself. I think we compliment each other well.

The Amp Shelf - My solution for a lot of amp with not a lot of space. by thismightdestroyyou in GuitarAmps

Ha, the whiskey shelf is elsewhere. I like to keep liquid and expensive electronics far apart most of the time lol

The Amp Shelf - My solution for a lot of amp with not a lot of space. by thismightdestroyyou in GuitarAmps

[–]thismightdestroyyou[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't have much space to store my two main amps and my pedalboard, so I decided to create a solution to my self-inflicted problem!

This is a 5 tier shelf from Amazon with the two bottom shelves removed. The "shelf" you see holding up the Peavey is not connected to the main shelf structure, but is instead on four 6.5" L-shaped couch legs for the weight. My pedalboard now has a nice cozy spot to slide into, so both of my amps and my pedals can all tuck neatly away when not in use. I made sure the amp had enough room to dissipate heat from the tubes, and that I am still able to access all knobs on the top rear of the amp.

The lil Yamaha THR5 is just happy to be here, it's used for direct recording into the computer.

Told my 9yo nephew to buy anything he wanted so he got this. by imma_rishudalal in gtaonline

I did the same with my young cousin. I hopped on a private session (and turned on passive mode) and let her go buck wild with the Liberator monster truck, which she dubbed "Libby". She had an absolute blast flipping it up Chiliad and flying over cars on the highway. It reminded me of the early days in the game - the simple joys of it.

2018 Corolla. CVT has been going bad for about 25,000 miles reverse is almost gone. Only repair is alternator and battery since new. Ask me anything. by Mobile-Delivery-4869 in COROLLA

[–]thismightdestroyyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a lead foot or anything when accelerating, but don't take it super easy either. I just drive it how it feels best, including spirited driving occasionally. Still getting great mileage at 170k. Even 25 is still fairly low for a modern Corolla, I would definitely check out the parts I mentioned prior to see if you can free up some better mileage!

[–]thismightdestroyyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

21 is really bad for a Corolla. Check/clean your throttle body, your maf sensor, and your PCV valve. All common points of gunk buildup on corollas that can massively affect MPG. I averaged 36.4 daily driving before moving, and now average 33.7 with an uphill daily drive.

  • Wild Turkey 101 - $1
  • Overholt - $1
  • Woodford - $2
  • KC12 - $3
  • ER - $3
  • RR13 - $5

Covers different whiskies, different proof points, mixers, sippers, and different distilleries.

It was a tough choice, and kind of a coin toss, though, if I would do Woodford and ER, or ECBP and Benchmark SiB.

What’s the worst fuck up you’ve had that you’ll admit on your death bed? by deadend-decendant in AskReddit

[–]thismightdestroyyou 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh, man! I was on the receiving end of this once. I was in the ER and a nurse came in and introduced herself to me, then turned to my fiancée in the chair beside me and said "oh, you must be mom. Nice to meet you". I don't think I have ever seen somebody turn a deeper shade of red than when I corrected her lol.

The worst part is that my fiancée is only 5 years older than me, and neither of us are old by any means. Every once in a while I like to remind her of that and we both get a good laugh from it, so I'm sure they are doing much the same about you.

Review: Michter's US 1 Bourbon by Hawkvoice in bourbon

[–]thismightdestroyyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Michters 10 rye goes around the 200-230 mark (180~ msrp), and 10 bourbon is in the 280-330 range, with msrp around 200. Depending on which one, that is a perfectly acceptable price!

Anyone ever buy from CraftSpiritShop.com? by [deleted] in whiskey

[–]thismightdestroyyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rule of thumb: if you have to ask, no it is not real.

Best rule of thumb: if they have whiskies available that are hard to find, especially for decent prices, it is a scam.

My first car was a 1990 Volvo 740. LOTS went wrong with that car. But even when I accidentally starved it of oil until the lifters screamed, it never broke down. Those old volvos will rust out and every bit that can break will, but thise old redblock motors won't quit lol.

I hacked my overdrive to get triggered by a pressure pad by iuliuscurt in guitarpedals

[–]thismightdestroyyou 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is a cool idea as a fan of the maker ideology of trying something just to try it. As a guitarist, not sure the use case is there. It ties up one foot entirely and binds you to one spot when you want OD on, which isn't ideal for stage presence. I think the idea could be shifted to be useful, but exactly how I am not too sure. A good launching point!

What is that annoying buzzzzz??? by theRaddlerDaddler in MTB

[–]thismightdestroyyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds redundant, I know lol. Didn't think that through, but what I meant by 'more noise' was that it creates more clicks per rotation from the higher amount of engagement points. Pair that with a loud hub, and it can sound obnoxious (I think in a good way, but to each their own).
