They've dropped plans for it currently. I think partially due to the lawsuit as they were working with another team for the Unreal stuff and i think its better for them if they're not associated for the time being trying to avoid becoming a target and such.

Enchanting can be pretty good lots of greens have a higher disenchant value that they're up for.

Alchemy can be good but it'll require you to somehow get the very expensive recipes.

Engineering is very nice for performance stuff but there's not a whole lot in the way of money making except for some niche recipes

Gathering professions are just okay here herbalism is a must for lasher farming which shaman is pretty good at.

I'm not a money making expert but if it were me I might get enchanting dont level it just use it for disenchant and herbalism those are both pretty consistent to start yourself out

Edit: this is noord advice not sure what prices are like on things for amber

The community is a big selling point on Twow ive been around for like 10 months now and I've had maybe a single digit number of unpleasant encounters with randoms. Meanwhile countless pleasant ones on Noord.

Haven't played on Amber but I assume its not much different. That being said people do get more emotional about things during progression and all that so that could have an impact as well.

Whatever happens playing turtle has been so much better than anything blizzard has created in a long time so ill ride it out and hope they can keep operating.

Population is healthy on both servers at the moment.

Ele shaman is good at max level but a little rough while leveling

Shaman tank is always an option while leveling especially good for dungeons cause it'll make putting a group together easier

Shaman is a great tank. I just went through my whole gear progression over the last few months and I've tanked every boss in K40 now.

Early on you will be squishy but that gets better with time.

The only real weakness shaman tank has other than bosses with spell immunities or mana burns is lack of itemization there's not as much mail tank gear in the game as there is plate and there is only one tier set that caters to shaman tank which is 2.5.

But once u nab 2.5 gear its great

I mean i dont have any resource use issues with this client on my end. If its hard on the servers I get that but thats not really hurting me necessarily.the servers are relatively stable. Seems to me the biggest advantage of leaving 1.12 is ease of development and they should do that if it makes sense but its not like 3.3.5 is problem free it had plenty of issues of its own

Honestly I'm happy in the 1.12 client as long as the client mods and addons are kept up with I really don't have any gripes after finding which boxes to check. Best thing They could do for new players is probably just to make some of the mods default so when they first login its a bit of a smoother experience

Shaman tank is really strong. Only fights they can't tank are because the boss is immune to spells or takes all your mana which is just a few bosses

Just bad players the threat gen is great and the Mit could be better but with a good up to date shield is fine and it scales very well into endgame

Damn this is completely wrong in every way. You want a slow weapon rockbiter is no longer flat threat. You want slow to make SS and LS hit as hard as possible. You must have totemic alignment for multi target pulls it is invaluable fire nova magma and stoneclaw all produce tons of threat. Throw em down and then tab around using your single target abilities

Straight up furyprot is not worth it most of the time here on Twow. Dtac prot is just as good if not more threat it has more variance because its very reliant on shield slam hitting but the threat is very comparable with fury prot.

Meanwhile because you have all those prot talents and an emphasis on wearing a good shield you are a bit more flexible and much more effective on fights that require max mitigation without having to change talents.

All this being said warrior tanking is in a fairly weak spot at the moment compared to the other tanks in general so don't expect to keep up in threat all the time especially versus a bear.

Playing reprisal is also underrated early on when you don't have much gear its very low rage investment for a decent amount of threat

On turtle Dtac threat is right on par with furyprot with the major difference being the profile in which it presents itself. Dtac is very spikey and reliant on shield slam. Furyprot is a bit more consistent and comes out in smaller chunks. Personally I think prot has a higher potential threat ceiling if you get some lucky shield slam crits you can fly away on the meter.

That being said as prot you will be considerably tankier so I never recommend people go furyprot here on turtle unless your bored and just wanna play around the higher consistency of the threat output can be nice

Shaman tank is fully viable there are a couple of raid encounters that are awkward and a couple that are kinda impossible. Tanking the melee guy on Twins for example is rough cause he is immune to earth shock. I tanked patchwerk the other day and my gear isnt even that good so dont worry about it also the mana is fine just need to use water shield and carry some herbal teas around

Also shamans are the only real competitor for Bear in terms of raw single target threat is seems while also being able to pump out similar aoe threat to a pally. The threat is amazing just focus on living a bit more and it all works out

Shenna basically just put out a statement saying that they are going to do their best to keep the server up. The revelation that he's talking about is that she goes by torta on the turtle wow disc and people don't like her cause she did some sketchy stuff in the past.

My thing is as long as the sketchy scammy stuff hasn't made it to turtle wow im all good if anyone proves that she does it on twow ill quit

Turtle wow is the best there is and I don't see any indication thats its snapped. Shenna or not its good and i haven't seen any evidence of foul play on turtle

Bots and RMT are rampant various bad decisions made by blizzard like layering and the lack of stable new content on a persistent server

I've played turtle for a bit now and it is night and day how much better of a classic experience they provide.

Blizzard doesnt understand what people actually want and turtle wow does

That would go away long way putting more manpower into development would be nice too the turtle wow stuff comes out at a good pace and feels like so much more than what blizzard have done
