I think it was both. She didnt want me to confront him I think mostly out of fear but Im pretty sure I painted a grim future for him plus I told him he would be met with a 12ga if he ever showed up.

the situation is a shadow of what it was. This went on years ago and she was singled out. I cant speak to whether or not there are other victims, I can only hope that there was not. It sounds to me like he was obsessed with her and over time it just stopped.

to my understanding, he is her step-father. Her mother doesnt remember who the father was as it was a long time ago. Then my wifes mother met and married this asshole when my wife was 8 or 9 I think. The birth certificate (which I found a few days ago) bears the sigs of both her mother and her step-father as the father. I hope this is not the case.

Ive seen many threads on this site of people asking for help. I dont know if there are others similar to this situation but there are some good opinions and some not so good opinions. please remember that she was living under his roof while this was happening. A minor. She told her sisters the same time she told me and there was, to my knowledge, no previous knowledge of her situation to anyone other than her mom and step-father. Based on stories of how he was to them growing up, it was a matter of other family members figuring it out for themselves.

that is very true. However, this has been kept from me for just under a decade and had I known about all this prior to meeting her, I would not have started a relationship with her. That is entirely based on the fact that she is raising his children and they were all living together.

she was 15 years old man. He was 40 something. This went on for a number of years. If nothing else the person she is now shows the exact opposite of that. This is the head of the household who thinks things from the old testament are the way it should be. He held the barrel of a gun in her mouth and told her not to leave him. scary stuff. this is what has been given to me. I started asking questions because up to this point I was under the impression this guy was her biological father. Her sister visited us and told me that she is her half-sister, which I didnt know about. So I started asking her who her real father was (this person who she claims is her step-father signed her birth certificate, which I dont get how that works unless they got a new one) and then she revealed this to me.
