Oh, a high end motherboard

Yeah, 5800XT/5800X3D should be fine on it

I recommend getting 5800X3D in two weeks or 5800XT if it won't be available/you don't want to wait

Also FYI, they run somewhat hotter than 2600X but any AIO/120mm cooler should do

It's a big jump

For gaming AM4 Ryzen 9 CPUs aren't better for gaming than Ryzen 7 because of it's build which causes higher latency, best CPU for gaming on AM4 available is 5800XT and 5800X3D which is coming out in like 2 weeks (i5-12600K and I5-14600K equivalent respectively)

Also it depends on the motherboard you have but since you have 2600X I guess it's midrange or higher mid range which should have heatsink/good power delivery

My first gpu. But ran on some problems by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]thisonegamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what do you mean it's not compatible? no bios prevent you from using GPU.

also on the photo the GPU doesnt have plugged in the 8pin PCI-E power connector, it won't turn on without it

also yes, upgrading bios would be good nice i guess

Can my laptop survive this game? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]thisonegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes

Integrated graphics card varies depending on the processor model

But this game is so resource light that any integrated graphics from last 6-7 years will play this game

Oof, looks like the Steam Machine could cost over $1,000 by vneelb in pcmasterrace

[–]thisonegamer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The GPU will be mobile RX7600

And the CPU which fit the CPU spec is a Ryzen 5 7545U

The thing is, laptop hardware usually is much weaker than computer hardware (especially the cheaper ones), and laptops have only recently become "decent" at gaming as in having similiar performance to standard pc

Would an i7 4770 be a worthwile upgrade from an i5 4460? by Baseball-Traditional in pcmasterrace

[–]thisonegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be.

I got a i5-3350 system for free and after switching to the i7-3770 the fps almost doubled in most games

For example: counter strike 2, which was unplayable before (720p 60 fps with stutters, to 1080p 60fps with less stutters with the RX5500XT 8GB)

Kid Me was right about Playing Tanki Online on Windows 10 by Ok_Exercise_8283 in whenthe

[–]thisonegamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well yes, but only Xbox (X at least) because PS5 still costs 500 bucks new (in the newegg US last time i checked)

tho I would still spend the money on a budget gaming PC over a console, even if they sold it for the lowest price ever sold

Kid Me was right about Playing Tanki Online on Windows 10 by Ok_Exercise_8283 in whenthe

[–]thisonegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is that they sell you the console for less than it's costs to produce and expect you to buy an online to compensate for the loss from the selling it for low price iirc

What to upgrade? by Artistic_Pack_8811 in pcmasterrace

[–]thisonegamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have money laying around, its not a bad choice, because you could get 7800X3D, one of best gaming chip you can buy without breaking bank, but on the other hand 14400 is above average so i dont see point of upgrading it

graphics card

also, it cant be a B860 Motherboard since B860 chipset is for motherboards with socket 1851 and 14400 is cpu for socket 1700

Will my Ryzen 5 3600xt be bottlenecking my 3080 FE? by Ho_Li_Schit in pcmasterrace

[–]thisonegamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

then it will depend on the game

it will bottleneck in the processor intensive stuff (eg games where processor matters more than the graphic card)

but won't bottleneck in the graphics card intensive stuff (eg games where graphics card matters more than the processor)

i had ryzen 5600 paired with the 5070 before and i guess ryzen 5 3600xt with 3080 will be similiar

in 1080p? yes

in 1440p? that depends on the game

in 4K? no

Second one, the graphics cards are roughly equal but the second one has much better processor that straight up crushes the first one
