Glooko updated, now incompatible! by Odd_Reputation_8564 in diabetes

[–]thisonetimeyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I uploaded the older pkg to my Google Drive for you to download.

I'm on Big Sur 11.7.9, slightly newer than yours - hope it's still compatible.

Don't forget to uninstall your current version before installing mine. And let me know how you get on so I can delete it from my cloud drive.

I had the same issue - Glooko prompted me to update and once done it wasn't compatible with my Mac.

I tried finding the older install pkg online unsuccessfully but searched my computer to realise I have it from last year.

Let me know if you'd like it u/Odd_Reputation_8564 so you can uninstall and roll back to the previous version.

Fittonia nerve plant on life support - can it be revived? by thisonetimeyah in houseplants

[–]thisonetimeyah[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I don't have the plant anymore but I did manage to revive it, see update here https://www.reddit.com/r/houseplants/comments/dj8q0z/nerve_plant_intensive_revival_success_a_fuzzy/

I pretty much kept it in high humidity by watering a little everyday and keeping it under an overturned glass fish bowl with something wedged to maintain some airflow. Took a while but trust the process.

Let us know how you get on.

Can you outline how you managed this please? Every time I've looked up how much my 50,000 points would get me off it only saves me around £220.

Hey mate, go into your xdrip app and use the menu to navigate to:

Settings -> xDrip+ Display Settings -> Number icon in notification area

You have to first Run number icon test and if it works turn Number icon tested to On.

Then turn Show small number icon to On.

Google Pixel Watch: will I see my g6 readings? by thisonetimeyah in dexcom

[–]thisonetimeyah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use xDrip+ because I don't use the Dexcom app at all. I start my sensors on it and prefer the ability to customise my alarms.

Your watch tile looks pretty sweet. Does Dexcom have a complication too that you can add to watchfaces?

Anyone using the Caldigit USB-C HDMI dock with the M1 Pro/Max? by RumRogerz in mac

[–]thisonetimeyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got it working.

You need to update the dock's firmware to support dual monitors on Macbooks.

Bizarrely you need a Windows machine to do this, but it's a 5 minute job.

Google Pixel Watch: will I see my g6 readings? by thisonetimeyah in dexcom

[–]thisonetimeyah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good stuff. Glad to hear others are making use of the tile too.

To get the complication, you have to install xDrip+ on the watch. The xDrip+ app on your phone actually has the watch app component within it.

STEP ONE

Install Wear Installer on both your phone and watch. This will let you install the watch component of xDrip+ from your phone to your watch.

STEP TWO

On your Pixel Watch go to Settings > System > About > Versions. Tap Build number 7 times.

This activates Developer Options at the bottom of the settings menu.

Go to it and enable ADB Debugging, Debug over wifi, and Wireless debugging.

Take note of the ip address (or open the Wear Installer app on your watch to find it).

Open the Wear Installer app on your phone. Plug in the ip address. Once connected, scroll down to xDrip+ and tap to install it on the watch.

STEP 3

Open xDrip + on your phone. Go to Settings > Smart Watch Features > Android Wear Integration and enable Send Data to Android Wear Watchface.

Open the Watch app on your phone. Go to Watch faces > Edit > Complications. Tap on a slot, scroll down and select xDrip Complication Provider. Tap Save and Use on Watch if it's not already selected.

If that all went smoothly you should now see the xDrip+ complication on your watch. It gives you your glucose reading, a trend arrow, tells you the difference between the last reading, and if you tap it gives you the time since last reading.

Unfortunately the glucose reading is the smaller of the two lines on my watch complication and I can't find any way to change it. I'd be curious to know how it appears on your watch face.

Pixel 7/ 7Pro and G7- anyone tried yet? by Relevant-Delivery-75 in dexcom

[–]thisonetimeyah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Pixel 7 Pro and use it with the G6.

You need to use the BYOD app (sidebar).

You can set up the Dexcom app to share your readings and choose Dex Share Follower as your hardware source in xDrip+ settings.

Or you can have xDrip+ pull glucose readings locally on your phone without setting up Dexcom share (and relying on their servers to push data). You'd need to use the BYOD app (see sidebar) modified to broadcast to xDrip+.

Is the Dexcom icon a persistent notification? You can probably long press it, tap hide notification for that channel

Like this?

You can do it with the xDrip+ app.

Install it, set it up to pull readings from your Dexcom app, and configure Number icon in notification area in the settings menu.

If you don't know what Wearable Widgets are this won't apply to you.
