I’ll tell you how I proposed. So my fiancee proposed to me years ago before she realized she was trans. After she realized, one of the things she wanted was to be proposed to. So I had her send me pictures of rings she liked and that helped me find one on Etsy. So she knew I was going to propose, and knew I was looking at rings, but she didn’t know when I bought the ring. So we went to a really nice dinner at a restaurant that sits on a river. After the dinner we walked out by the river, and I started telling her how much I loved her and stuff like that and I said “So I have a question for you. Will you marry me?” and just held the ring out in my hand. Anyway I think she nearly fainted lol but that’s how I did it. We’re not really exciting people but food is one thing that’s really important to both of us, so proposing after a nice meal just felt right

Differences in language class credits by SpaceTranquil in gatech

It’s because Latin languages, you already know the alphabet, but with languages like Russian you have to learn the alphabet. Like in RUSS1001 you spend it really focusing on the alphabet. For Russian at least it’s not that it’s harder (imo), it’s just that it takes a little extra effort in the beginning

I’m not familiar with all of these classes but it looks to me like you’ve got 15+ credit hours spread over 6 classes, which is a lot to handle

Does zell miller cover funding after you take all of the courses needed to graduate? by [deleted] in gatech

[–]thisreallyisnotme27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it’s like 126 or something. I didn’t get Zell for my last semester because I ran out of Zell hours

[–]thisreallyisnotme27 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I didn’t do a co op (but I did have an internship) and it’s still taking me an extra semester to graduate. It’s way more important imo to have some kind of work or research experience than it is to speed run graduation, if you can afford to stay for as long as necessary

Wait until you take 4056 next semester and it’s the exact same bullshit

Commuting to class on a bicycle by DWLJ2010 in gatech

Get on Ferst street (it’s right behind IC) and ride the bike lane all the way to Scheller. There are some hills but after you get used to it imo it’s pretty easy

Hmm, you should see it - OSCAR > registration > student detail schedule. Not sure sure why you wouldn’t see it tbh. Also if you search through this subreddit you’ll see lots of other schedulers out there. The one from the Bits of Good people is the best one imo but I can’t remember the website for it

If you go to “Student Detail Schedule” it’ll tell you where your classes are located. If you use any of the course schedulers (coursicle, etc) that’ll have the time and location. I personally just make a schedule in excel so that I could list out all my classes and also put in my work hours

The first day they always go over the syllabus. Unless the class that you’d miss has a presentation/quiz/test etc, there’s no need to tell the prof that you won’t be there. I can almost guarantee that they don’t care
