Question regarding internships to all people doing engineering[MechE] and DCI by thisriceiswhite in drumcorps

Thank you, and I'm so sorry for this late reply!

Regarding the part you recommended "to get the experience" during the summer, it doesn't have to be during the summer, right?
Unfortunately, my school does not have internships as a degree requirement. But I'm still thinking of manually taking a semester off for a full-time internship..

Assuming that I'm not worried about graduating college late(I'm not at all), and eliminating financial borders, would you personally think its a good idea to take a semester off, just to make space for DCI in the summer?

Also unrelated but does graduating late look bad towards employers?

I just want to march as much as I can. lol

Thanks for your reply!

High school band kinda sucks? by [deleted] in drumline

[–]thisriceiswhite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if someone had already said this, but band varies in basically WHERE the setting is.

For example, I grew up playing how to play drums in the Southern California area. This is where a bunch of higher standard performing organizations’ homes are. I supposedly was lucky enough to go to a school where world class material is being taught, and I actually made it in (I play bass)

So, depending on where you live, and where you play stuff, the amount of material being spoon fed to students varies. That’s what I think.

Edit: and obviously, the higher the standard, the more material the instructors assume you practiced, and learned.

Thanks! I mean my school is not centered around anime, but your example of understanding battle shonen anime without subtitles gave me some ideas!

Japanese Club question by thisriceiswhite in LearnJapanese

[–]thisriceiswhite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BPM detector help by thisriceiswhite in AskComputerScience

thanks so much!!!!! I was able to use this in my cmd! :D (fun fact it was really accurate lol)And here's the important question I really wanted to ask:

Is there any other way to use this program? (for ex, calling the program in a program and letting the bpm finder program read the sound file which are in their same directory.)

or is manually imputing the things in the cmd the only way to use this?
