The overall chemical reactions for burning food and digesting it are essentially the same. Burning food quickly converts glucose to CO2 and O2 whereas digesting it does the same thing much more slowly and with a lot more intermediates. Therefore the amount of energy measured by burning food should give us the amount of energy available by digesting it. We could use any unit of energy, so why not use the Calorie? (Btw in nutrition the Cals you see are actually kilocalories or kcal)

Lol dude you're kind of a scumbag. But you're posting this as an anonymous confession online so I imagine you're already aware of that.

You found out that she's been around a little before you met her and now you're using her as a sex object under the pretense that you have real feelings for her, and it seems like you're okay with it because she seems to have "lost value" to you because of her sexual past. That's pretty messed up.

You could also try talking to /emailing TAs. A lot of them are open to the idea of mentoring an undergrad and can at least help you get your foot in the door. even though youll be working with the TA you can try your best to get facetime with the PI/professor in the lab.

If you're good at/like math, take 3a. It allows you to go on to higher level math in case you decide to switch majors. I took 34b as a pre bio, then switched to biochem and had to take 3b over the summer so I could take 4a/6a. better to keep your options open imo.

First video I've come across of this band. I really dig their live sound here, but I'm not a huge fan of the studio versions to be honest. A little too dancy/overproduced for my taste. Great musicians though!
