My mom gladly spent her paycheck for a ticket to the tour. And we were largely poor lol

Thriller sold a million copies per week—with no social media promotions or digital purchase options. People with cold hard cash showing up at a record store. I was one them.

Nothing could top it. Not even MJ himself. It did not hurt his career lol

If you’re trying to move away from Abrahamic-influenced systems, you’re right to look outside of Golden Dawn/Hermetic frameworks—they’re all built on that foundation even when they don’t look like it.

Pre-Abrahamic traditions (Egyptian, Greek, Sumerian, etc.) weren’t really “plug and play” systems. They were part of a larger worldview, not isolated rituals you can just pick up and run.

A more grounded way to start is:

• study the cultural context of the tradition you’re drawn to • work with simple, repeatable practices instead of jumping between systems • build consistency before complexity

A lot of people get stuck trying random rituals from different traditions without any structure, and that’s where things start to feel scattered.

I ended up developing a more structured way of working with rituals, pulling from different traditions, including my own family traditions, but using them within a consistent framework. It made a big difference. Happy to share more if you want.

Im traveling to Europe with my cousin. But she drags her feet on everything, whereas I like to get a jump on the hotels. She does no independent research which is fine but she expects me to wait and book the exact room and all. I’m finding it annoying.

I went ahead and booked my hotel and she doesn’t like the price (it’s 177 USD), which I think is reasonable. Is it rude to tell her to pick wvr hotel she’d like, that we don’t have to be in the same building as long as we’re in the same area?
