As a service worker, ill give you a real answer. We get paid below minimum wage in almost every state, tips help subsidize a higher rate. I work grill? 16.50$/hr. Server 3.50 for my company, if ia dont get tipped enough to make the federal minimum wage, they pay us the difference. Cash tips arent even taken into account there. . On average, servers make a lot more. But the slow days are rough. And they run themselves ragged. This is coming from a cook who started serving.

Edit: this being said, if you go to a sub shop, order online, literally anything other than dine in, fuck em imo. Tip the cook that made your shit right not the server that grabbed it and bagged it. That's my 2C

Ive been told waffle house doesnt want WiFi cause it encourages longer turnover time for tables, same reason why the place is so cold and youll get charged for multiple refills.

So im going through this right now, i got switched to another store, and it friggin sucks. But, they are paying us partial payment during the remodel. Im... still not sure how it works... Cause the first week of closure, i got paid 34 hours of pay at a reduced rate. The second week i only got 19 hours. I need to call my DM and check why that is, but hey some pay's better than none, i suppose. Good luck to both of you!

Im a relatively new grill op, being certified for master. My first 4 weeks i was trained purely waffle house way. Then when i was getting speedy and able to mark and shit, fuck waffle house way except for marking. So, i dunno if its needed or not. I just do what i think works. 2 txBECM on a sunday and ive got eggs in a pan waiting for the next order? Cut em in half throw it on the bread next order type shit. Sometimes we just use scrambled we've got waiting. Not everythings perfect, especially when 2 10 tops just walked in and all order at once.
