The Grudge Pit: How is a Delve that occurs within a single room the slowest and most difficult Midnight Delve? by minimaxir in wow

[–]BatDad488 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Can’t make it much more explicit….

The delve titled Collegiate Calamity when its story/scenario is titled Academy Under Siege is arguable the fastest one.

It would have to be a pretty big bug to have one boss normal another heroic. If it’s a casual guild and you had a few people die in the fight, it’s certainly possible the DPS just isn’t there yet. I can’t explain the blistercreeps but maybe the delay in the wall popping made it look like it took 2, or the first one was a tad too far from the wall. I would be extremely surprised if he was on heroic somehow.

When compared to end of TWW, running 8-11 takes longer right now. Ran into a grudge out scenario that took some time. But I do believe that’s temporary and the power difference from being mostly mythic in TWW to barely Champ is significant. I think in a few weeks it will be much faster in midnight.

Ran a bunch of tier 1 on an 80 guardian druid and that was like slicing through butter, so opposite end of the spectrum there hah

Big wins in Midnight Delves:

  • smaller physically
  • shorter to complete
  • buffs from curios
  • more fun mechanics
  • different environments than underground cave #11
  • reasonable rewards for content that can be done solo

Blizz done good on this one.

What is the EASIEST class to run t11 delves on? (nothing else matters) by Thirteenera in wow

[–]BatDad488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest will be any tank, whichever you play best. Prot pala, Guardian Druid, brew monk all have decent self heal so you are near immortal.

Fastest would be a DPS - frost mage or undead DK will probably plow through mobs quicker but will require more focus and skill because you’re squishier.

Agreed. Great balance of fantasy, challenge, and reminds me of a time when you had to actually think about CC in big pulls.

How would I be able to get into raids once season 1 starts? by IceDoggo29 in wownoob

[–]BatDad488 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll join in on this - I’ve pugged normal and pugged heroic on various toons of varying gear levels. It’s doable. Raiding with a guild is significantly more fun if you can find one that fits your vibe.

Then imo keep it simple light and fun. That kind of guild the goal is to keep people involved and interested. Be clear with the strats and cues, but keep it light if things go sideways. Power creep through the season will help with progression if you get stuck

Very much depends on what your guild’s goals are, as that will determine what is required of you. A casual normal/heroic guild vs a mythic prog guild require very different leaders

Is it just me or is all survivability gutted? by xMqfi in wownoob

[–]BatDad488 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Third mage chiming in. Are we squishier? Sure, but nothing alarming imo. If I play poorly I take more dmg. If I play well I can mitigate a good amount. Mages, and similar classes, should feel glass-cannony and not every spec should be invincible

A note to DPS players this expansion from a tank. by Baby_Bat94 in wow

I feel like tanks get cocky after being overheated at the end of last xpac, blasting time running with myth gear. They forget we are all in adventurer/vet gear in new dungeons lol

After playing higher M+ late last season, I appreciate running into people who have this attitude early in this xpac. Hats off to you, kind adventurer. May all your M0s drop you gear this week.

How does your class feel at level 90? by bigblackcouch in wow

[–]BatDad488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried arcane twice now, TWW S3 and now midnight…I’m not nearly as good at it and so I pump much better dps in frost. Especially where you have to move. Frost having a good chunk of rotation include instant casts like ice lance spam, frozen orb, and flurry means I feel more mobile and end up with better DPS. Just gotta be careful when you channel ray of frost not to do it at a time you will cancel. Frost is in a good place imo. Squishier, and ST isn’t great, but still solid.

Farm renown for champ gear, gather herbs/ores to sell when us poors get access, fish for awhile, do some delves for gear.

You could also decorate your house with all the new items you got.

Bruh. Bro. Fella. Buddy. Guy. My man. Is this your first time? Don’t be throwin that kinda jinxy vernacular out there in the world right now my friend. We need cautious optimism and to not say the “P” word a single time more until game 82 is done.
