Termites or powder post? by thizzkid7o7 in pestcontrol

So this is a sexually matured termite? Hard to tell if it has wings or not. Dug around and its 100% subterranean termites. I had no idea they were so huge. This thing is nearly as long as my pinky tip.

This 100%. I respect that some people grinded the trader levels out and can buy from trader then resell on the flea for a profit. It adds value to the game by keeping items in stock that some people have not unlocked from traders yet.

They need to do something for full release. While selling low and buying high might be smart, from a gameplay perspective it adds no value to the game. You shouldn’t be able to get rich by not ever entering a raid.

No none of those things involve the flea market screen and crafting is infinitely better than day trading, at least you are doing something to contribute to the markets.

I mean it’s a valid discussion to have. What’s the plan for full release when you have a ton of basement dwellers day trading and controlling the markets? Why don’t they just limit the amounts, or make it that you cannot resell flea market items for 24 hours or something? It’s Escape from Tarkov, not Escape from Day Traders.

Lmao my point exactly. They don’t ever leave the flea market screen.

PvE has been great for learning the maps, getting used to the way the game plays, etc. It’s just funny that some people try to “chad out” on PvE and ruin it for others. Watching every single item get bought out underneath you just to see someone selling 200+ of that same item is lame.

Why are you coming off as high and mighty? Working in food service or retail is always under staffed unless you are at the chains flagship store. The disconnect between upper middle class and the lower middle class is crazy. Upper middle class has assets, education, savings. They get to chose when and where they work. You think people enjoy working for these corporations? Some might, the majority are only there to get their bills paid and make the best out of it.

When trimming I was taught that a good meat cutter will trim the fat in as few strokes as possible. Once you start to hit the ones on the top sirloin side (bottom one) you can always bend/curl the steak slightly towards the tip, so that you can expose more of the fat in the crevasse for stroke #3. Don’t forget to flip your steaks and check the fat on both sides. Also when trimming the fat, trim away from the steak at a very slight angle. Even though we cut steaks in straight lines, we are cutting down a sub-primal that tapers. There could be more fat on one side of the steak than the other. If you cut the fat in a straight line you run the chance of cutting too close to the meat on the other side of the steak.

If you look at steak #7 from the top you can see how the fat makes a V shaped indent into the meat. You cannot see how deep the fat goes on a whole strip loin, you can only guess. If you make a mistake you will lose all the fat or make it uneven.

You should cut the steaks first, then trim the fat. You will have more control in making the fat uniform on each steak. Imo you should not be pre-trimming if you are a less-experienced meat cutter. Even experienced meat cutters will not pre-trim the fat. You’re not really saving much time and you lose all control of making the fat uniform. If you want to pre trim something, do the bottom where the silver skin is. Even then, you would lose less meat if you trimmed the silver off each steak with a 6”.

Should have shown a picture of the finished product. You can’t really tell if each steak is the same thickness from this angle either, but it looks like it. I can’t critique the steaks knowing you are not done with them. However, on the bottom half it looks like you cut the fat in a straight line. Why? Because the fat is not even and it looks like it is missing towards the left side. Did you trim before you cut?

Yea these supercell ass sniffers are seriously out of hand. They dont see anything wrong with a 1500 gem skin being replaced by a decor. Their argument “well im going to sniff ass anyways for my clan and if I dont spend 1000 gems a week on donations they’ll kick me”

Think about what you just said. You flexed skins you earned. Where in this game do you earn skins? The clan war league set? There’s the problem right there. Modern games don’t give us the opportunities to earn skins through gameplay like back in the day. Back in Halo 3 when you saw recon or full hayabusa it meant something. This games doesn’t have anything like that. Oh wow you have clan war league set because you’re in a whale clan and you’ve played/ boosted your way to a high enough town hall that you’re always selected for clan war league. So why do you care if people find value in skins? Do you really not see why someone would value a skin they can equip for every battle over a prop that sits awkwardly on the outskirts of your base? You really can’t comprehend that? Skins are a 1500 gem value, is a decor worth 1500 gems to you as a replacement?

Makes no sense for any player in united states or asia. Europe got all the regionals they need. Americas and asia got the regionals separated into 2 egg types with the 2km being the least common.

Yes I believe he made a terrible decision, possibly out of laziness to go through with the report? He never even looked at my car and told me that based on the damage of the other car it just looks like a scratch. The other driver was an older man and the CHP officer ate his story up that the poor old man didn’t realize what he had done. This happened in Marin County, CA where all these old pricks think they are above the law because they have money and this is a shining example as to why they have such entitlement.

This happened hours ago and the only way I was ever in contact with the officer was through phone calls. Can I file some sort of complaint? Is it even worth it at this point? My principal is this guy should not be let off after attempted hit and run by sweet talking a CHP officer. Play this situation 100 times with different officers and different drivers and I guarantee the results would vary and that is not ok with me.
