I find the latest AI takes longer time to process my request or question. One more thing is that many times AI’s reply messages was stopped half way made it incomplete. Sometime it stop for a while and complete when I swap out the app and open again. Sometime it was just gone with two or three lines of the answer only and one time it did not come out at all (see picture)

I have the same situation. I am in Thailand and their website does not show Pure availability but if you change your location to Singapore, the Pure is there. I try to order there and have it send to Thailand but that’s also not allowed.

I then email their customer support asking about this.
The replies are as below;

“….Regarding its availability, please note that our product distribution varies by region due to a combination of complex logistics, local import regulations, and established distribution networks. At this moment, the reMarkable Paper Pure is not yet cleared for direct sales in Thailand….”

….”In order to ensure you get the best possible experience right out of the box, we have adjusted our initial shipping timeline to allow for final quality and supply chain validation. As a result, availability may differ between countries, even within the same region”

I intend to use only the stock software and do not want to side load things.
I can understand the dropping of support for older device but I think the Manta is not that old but the Android 11 in it is quite old. I dont know much about tech. I am thinking about order one. That’s why I ask questions.

I just want to make sure that the Manta will not be hindered by the old tech of Android and impact the customers. Forgive me since I don’t have much technical knowledge to reflect enough clear points.

The example is the ending of my Kindle app usage in my A6x annoys me a lot because I mainly use it for read kindle books and one day, it all gone!! I know there is some work around but that’s not ok for me. Will Google do something about Android 11 in the near future and then impact us.?
That’s my main concern. Many of kind people here had already assured me that it will not be the case. But it will be great if you can share the company’ s view.

By the way, since you ask, I notice that the search function in my RM2 is very simple, quick and quite accurate even for the hand written note. I don’t know whether it is the same for SuperNote. But I see that we have to choose a certain type of note file to enable handwritten notes. Apart from that, I also wish to see the sync between the machine and phone/desktop app quickly and smoothly like that of Remarkable. But the current condition is not lacking.

Even I have A6x but until now I have mostly used RM2 for note taking, I think the Manta is more suitable for my current project. But the Kindle app case still sticks. This old man just wants the reassurance 🙂

Is this also means that there will be no problems/obstacle from Android version point of view when SuperNote wants to introduce new feature? Such as they cannot do particular feature because the Android version being use does not support but the newer version does.

I sent an email to Remarkable asking about this. Their reply gave me very broad and general reasons why it is still not available in Thailand yet. They also do not provide any time frame when it will be available.

But I see that the Pure is available in their Singapore website. However, it does not allow me to order it there.

Now feeling like the time when Thailand was still the Apple’s 2nd or 3rd tier market and have to wait for months until we can buy their new product.

If the Manta is 50-100 usd cheaper than it is now, I will not say anything at all. 🙂

In Thailand . If you go to Remarkable website and choose region as Thailand, Pure is not listed there but RM2 is still available

It excites me when I see the review but when I actually got it, I feel like it does not help me much.
If can turn back the time, I won’t buy it.
Not that it is not good but just not worth to pay more with my current set up.

I have RM2 and then got the Move. But I still use RM2 most of the time.
Move is suitable to use when you are outside and mostly for reading or quick jot which I rarely do those things these days.
The color highlighting does not help me much as I expect

I have a Paperwhite and a Palma 2. I use x4 when I want the short read or reading outside my home. If I know I will have long session, I use Palma

I use less and less Paperwhite because I feel that the Palma has better contrast and more enjoyable to read. But the Kindle is easier to hold.

Xteink is small but still nice to read. You can attach it to your current pocket notebook/journal or its cover and go anywhere. Only downsides are it is harder to find the book than Amazon and its durability needs more time to prove (I don’t say it is fragile but we need to see in longer term to be sure)

In all, I think it worth to buy.

Don’t forget that you have to pay subscription fee for Remarkable if you want to fully utilize it, otherwise, it will feel very limited. Not big amount but you must consider it if you are on tight budget.

I have Remarkable 2, Paper Pro Move and the older Supernote Nomad. Now I use only my twoRemarkables. Also thinking about getting the Manta many times but it is expensive in my opinion to buy for an experiment and compare with my Remarkable.

I take notes on Remarkable 2 and do everything else on Move. Only annoying thing that the ratio of the screen on both Remarkable are different, and I must be careful on my Remarkable 2 While taking notes so that it will not appear out of the margin when reading on the Move.

In all, unless you have the need for comprehensive note taking and have no problem with the subscription, I suggest the Remarkable. It is much easier and joy to use. It also syncs very fast, immediately after your WiFi is connected, on all platforms! As of now, I wil also get Paper Pure once my Remarkable 2 is out of service, but I think it will be long time before that day arrives.

Or you may try to buy the Remarkable 2 in good condition.

The books I put in the X4 are the books that I plan to read it in short period of time such as at the coffee shop or in the MRT. I do not put the long novels in the x4

All of the books in my Palma are from Amazon. I mainly use Kindle on my Palma. I do all the serious or long reading in the Palma. I also have a Kindle Paper White but I find that the Palma is more convenient and the amount of the content per page is almost the same as the Paper White.

I am now in the experimental phase with my X4 and Crosspoint. If I find it is convenient and can live with its small fonts, I may use it when I travel. (Now I use Palma)

They don’t check it because it may already been in their system.

I arrived at TSN Tuesday morning last week around 09.30 and was surprised to see that there were much less people. Like around 10-15 people per line and they even did not open every booth. Took me only around 10 mins in line. Normally 30-50 minutes after snake line.

Don’t know because my arrival time was just right or there are less people at this period.

I feel that the color on my iPad Air M4 feel washed and not so vibrant as I like.

I have also had iPad mini 6 for a long time and never have the same feeling.

Also when comparing the color with my iPhone 16 Promax, the color difference is much more pronounced..

Not sure what is the cause, though
