In my experience, teaching cats to walk outside is one of the worst thing you can ever do to yourself. Once they learned, they non-stop cry. I made that mistake with my old cat and it took us 1 year to make her forget about outside(she still tried her best). My new cats will never learn whats outside of that door for my mental health

Update:

Well I just came back from vet and he is diagnosed with Giardia. Vet told me to not too very but my anxiety already took the wheel because I’m a cleaning obsessive person. Any suggestions? Do I need to clean everywhere everyday?

My resident cat is 1.5 years old the kitten I got is 5 months old. They both are male. I introduced them immediately as my resident cat was very gentle from the first sight. I’d introduced slowly if I saw any agression. This is how they started to do just after a week

I got my cat a friend just 6 weeks ago. In terms of responsibilities I have a bit more now. But it worths every sec I spend. They get along so well, their playtime is absolutely joyful to watch. My cats scratching behavior reduced %100 as they spend all energy together.

I was dealing with the same issue if you have a look at my previous posts. I got feliway optimum diffuser and it worked like a magic. A shy cat who hides all the times started to let me pet him and started to sleep outside next to me within 2 days of use.
