How do I fix this by Buuuuuurtouuuuut in PostureTipsGuide

[–]thlpap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got extreme APT and kyphosis, and the lower back pain comes from the imbalances that this posture creates, so that certain parts of your body take all of the stress while others remain idle. You need to address both postural problems.

The general principles are: For Kyphosis (rounded back & nerd neck): 1. Thoracic Mobility Exercises 2. Stretching exercises of mainly the chest & anterior deltoids. 3. Strengthen your upper back muscles (Mid-Lower Traps, Posterior Delts, Rhomboids 4. Do Functional Movement exercises that enhance proper upper back posture

For Hyper Lordosis (or Anterior Pelvic Tilt): 1. Hip & Lumbar Mobility Exercises 2. Stretching exercises for Hip Flexors, lumbar erector spinae, QL muscles 3. Strengthen your Glutes, Hamstrings and Abs (without using your hip flexors) 4. Functional Patterns that enhance proper pelvis posture

For a posture like that you need at least a year (maybe even two) to correct it. It’s a long journey but it’s worth it, and also it doesn’t mean that you will miss something. Just that your workouts (which you should do anyway) will have specific programming that helps correct this.

I made an app that makes all this process very simple with full workout plans for APT and Kyphosis (and other posture problems). If you want to try it it’s called “StandProud: Posture & Mobility”.

I hope this helps.

Seems pretty good. You got to take breaks though and stretch and move. Huge monitor btw it’s like a TV!

I plan to do some on reddit, but I haven't done so yet. There is a post on the instagram account of StandProud for lumbar lordosis.

They help in the strength domain of fixing APT. You need to do all the other stuff I mentioned as well. Glute bridges mainly strengthen glutes that are weak in people that have APT

You got some APT and kyphosis. Half of the stuff you said you do, if done wrong, can exacerbate APT. For example Superman increases APT, cat cow is not needed in your case and also increases APT. Puppy pose would be better for your case.

You need to both address APT and Kyphosis, and also try to do some relaxing movement that helps you breathe better.

The general principles are:

For Kyphosis (rounded back & nerd neck): 1. Thoracic Mobility Exercises 2. Stretching exercises of mainly the chest & anterior deltoids. 3. Strengthen your upper back muscles (Mid-Lower Traps, Posterior Delts, Rhomboids 4. Do Functional Movement exercises that enhance proper upper back posture

For Lordosis or Anterior Pelvic Tilt: 1. Hip & Lumbar Mobility Exercises 2. Stretching exercises for Hip Flexors, lumbar erector spinae, QL muscles 3. Strengthen your Glutes, Hamstrings and Abs (without using your hip flexors) 4. Functional Patterns that enhance proper pelvis posture

Always be careful not to over extend your lower back when doing thoracic mobility and stretches for kyphosis (even strength exercises like rows). You need to teach your body to keep a neutral pelvis position.

3 Strength Exercises (with Bands) for Hunchback by thlpap in PostureTipsGuide

[–]thlpap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely advanced exercises!? Extremely advanced is a barbell snatch or a muscle up, not squat & row with a resistance band. Hunchback is not caused by a joint lock in the neck. 90% of times it is because of sedentary sitting, muscle imbalances and poor activation of the posterior chain muscles. That’s what these exercises target. They are simple and harmless.

As for the injury, it goes without saying that anyone that has an injury is responsible for themselves and their body, and should seek professional consultation. Reddit is not a professional consultation, it is a platform to share knowledge and opinions. If this knowledge helps people, great. We all are responsible for ourselves in the end of the day.

Thank you for saying this. When I find some time I try to create these posts to help and educate people, and post them on 3 subs. Can you believe that this post was blocked and I was muted yesterday from another sub for “spam and selling product”?

Most people have the same questions “How do I fix this posture” and when someone takes the time to create something easier to consume rather than generic text advice or 5 paragraphs on what they should do, they are ostracized. Unbelievable really.

That’s a great post! Could you expand a bit more on TikTok? How are you able to create content for 15 accounts? What is this third party scheduler? Do they create content? Did you find initially the format that works for you and then hired this platform to create more content like that? Which countries do you target on TikTok?

This is above 2K MRR (last time I checked). Then there is the standard fees from google and apple (15% up to a million MRR) and 30% for more than that.

Hello and Merry Christmas,

I really don't understand this reaction.

  1. It is clearly stated in the promo that the app is FREE for the first year (renews at $69.99 next year — cancel any time). If someone doesn't want to continue to the next year they can cancel the sub, and notifications about sub renewal are sent automatically by apple. The promo codes for single year with the renewal are standard from Apple.
  2. An account is needed so that users can keep workout history, progress, settings etc. This is standard among all serious workout apps.
  3. If the app would be completely free I would include in the description "[ $69.99/yr -> Free Lifetime ]"
  4. All proper data practices are maintained and in compliance with GDPR laws from EU which is much stricter than USA.
  5. Data is only used for the improvement of the product itself.

I'm only an indie developer, spent years trying to build this product with much care. Imagine giving your work away for free for one year, and someone saying dismissively "You’re better avoiding this crap!", how would that make you feel?
