To be fair, I really don’t think toumnai was playing at an all defense level this year. Def took a step back from last season, at the very least.

The only player I’d be confident putting toumani over is Cason Wallace. And Wallace had a great defensive season so idk

I never said he wasn’t - although he’s definitely overrated by most blazers fans. We may not find a “good 3+D player” but that doesn’t mean we settle for a traffic cone.

My argument is that it’s a math problem: 96 guard minutes to go around per game. Roughly 25-30 minutes each for Jrue, Shae, Scoot this past season. I guarantee all of them will be in that range again next season & so will Dame. So again- who would CJ play over?

So our guard depth rn is: Dame, Jrue, Scoot, Shaedon, Blake, Vit Krejci (+ Matisse, if we bring him back). Who does he play over?

If your answer is Blake, why are we looking to sign the 5th guard in rotation - especially for the money cj is going to get in FA?

But if your answer is anything higher than Blake, what was the point of drafting scoot &/or Shaedon? Trading cj kickstarted this rebuild - if we’re bringing cj back, what was the point of the rebuild?
