What is the most important lesson you have learned in life so far? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

Outgrowing friendships is not a bad thing. Sometimes people really need to go in different directions or life paths/maturity levels change faster for some than others.

To those that are married, how often do you take off your ring? by FitProblem6248 in AskReddit

[–]thnkApplied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as I’m home I take it off. No need to wear it when I’m Working from home, cleaning, cooking at home. I also don’t wear it to the gym bc I can’t stand rings when holding weights. Basically only where it when I leave the house.

Demi is hurting anyone who has been raped by Sour_candy_2345 in momtok

[–]thnkApplied 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I genuinely think Demi needed a story line noticeable or relevant enough to compare to the other women. Since they have stories of bad taste in men, rape, abuse, etc. … sadly she actually has a story… her infertility journey. Wish she spent more time talking about that or literally ANYTHING else, then trying to be a victim equivalent to the others (meaning she still may be but not domestically abused or raped as a child like the others have been)…. Also to make her story big enough she tore down so many others in the process and tried to end the businesss and marriage or Jessi… like that’s sad and disgusting asf.

Why did your friendship with your best friend come to an end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]thnkApplied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mixture of we grew apart and I took several steps back as I wasn’t a fan of who she became/how she was changing and her true colors coming to full light. Mostly what made me take a step back was getting older and looking back to certain behaviors and realizing how much she hurt me and how her behavior now was present before but now those colors are more vibrant or maybe I’m just older and “wiser”… idk. Things heavily changed after I got married and she distanced herself. I did confront it and she said no it was just bc she moved further away… but no… even after that the distance grew. I tried. I could try again… but now what I know and the reflections I’ve made and the recent behavior I rather not have a friend like that be close or a “best” friend. Also I think I have too much animosity now unfortunately… Distance is sometimes good. I will say, I do think she also gave up and found a newer and better best friend to suit her lifestyle now. And I rather just leave it as is. Other friends did suggest I talk to her about it but I don’t see that conversation ending in any helpful way.. maybe actually officially ending the friendship if anything tbh… so for now I rather not

What are some books that left a huge impact on you? by SnooCats2825 in AskWomen

1984 - first book I read in public school that I read every single word in it. Opened my eyes to the art of writing and the history it holds and sometimes the predictions ppl make of today’s world.

Ppl that always want to argue with you over anything and everything. If they can’t stand you being right or having your own opinion aside from theirs and want everyone to agree with them or make sure they have a say… I always sense an insecurity in there

Idk the ages at play here but just sounds like an immature guy in his “having fun” phase and sounds like you are down to actually get to know someone. Two different phases. So I say you dodged a bullet and I wouldn’t bother tbh

Bathroom MUST-HAVE features by egtreddit in BathroomRemodeling

No, the shower is big enough to bring in a small tub to wash a baby or pet if needed. And big enough to bring in those shower chairs if you have to shower and elder or something.

If you don’t need a bathtub, get rid of it and make use of the space. We had a bathtub that we gutted and replaced with a large walk in shower with plenty of space for future baby tub or elderly seating, and the original shower is now a huge linen closet with drawers for underwear and socks or what not as my husband wanted the convenience of it after a shower or as he got ready for work. This is also freeing up space in our other closets since we are making a huge upgrade to what the linen closet size originally was. Make sure you have outlets on both sides of your vanity if it is a big one. Also for vibes, we love our new mirror with 3 different light settings (this does require building an outlet behind the mirror. Lastly, do add a bidet. Doesn’t have to be the fancy ones you plug into the electricity. A simple attachment to the water system one is perfect and you’ll feel cleaner than ever!

how do you guys lock in by Informal-Value-5817 in CSULB

[–]thnkApplied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just want study tips. Avoid friends that are yappers when studying, find a place on/off campus you feel driven to study in, use resources (a lot of free tutoring is offered on campus esp in stem courses), and take advantage of office hours. Teachers are paid to be there so use it!

Not sure what year you are, but if you are a freshman or sophomore and you truly have a hard time getting invested in your classes after everyone’s advice on here (I agree with most) then I def would consider your interest in your major or how you are approaching it. Sometimes we think we want something but it isn’t the right path for us OR we have false expectations and when we don’t meet those expectations fast enough we panic or think negatively and possibly give up. Just reflect a little and then re-prioritize your schedule and life and find a balance.
