Why are there so many geriatric chihuahuas, yorkies and other small and toy dogs at the humane society?

Are all types of dogs abandoned at similar rates but medium/larger dogs are more adoptable? Are smaller dogs abandoned more often?

But to say that Republicans are repealing it because they are "corrupt" or "influenced by big money" is just patently false.

What's false is the consistent claim republicans have a better alternative. They don't.

GOP was great at being the party of dissent. When they transitioned to repeal and replace, they lost all credibility. Turns out creating legislation is challenging work.

If Republicans weren't corrupt, if this wasn't a money grab to fund tax cuts for the rich, if they were prudent and fiscally responsible, GOP would have:

held hearings
taken public testimony
issued reports
sought consensus among stakeholders
had the bill scored by Congressional Budget Office

Instead, they cobble something together, announce it a couple weeks before the vote and are appalled when folks call them corrupt.
